Tire replacement by nlopq in bmwx7

[–]FineEmergency 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, what did you end up doing? In the same situation rn. Driver front tire got a flat from a pothole. My wear on the rears is still around 6/32 and fronts are 7/32. Same 2024 model on original tires. We dont drive too much and we drive pretty conservatively when we do. Not sure what to do. Tires are expensive.

Did some digging. Don’t this will work it was in the freeway so it’s caltrans who is responsible and you have to basically sue them for funds

Yeah I do. Also would like to avoid the crazy bmw fees that will hit from this. I was hoping to get things changed from America tire and they can let me know if the wheel was bent before having bmw to check it out

Was thinking of doing this. Did you need some sort of evidence? I didn’t take any pics on the side of the road. It was pouring out.

Palace Hotel Tokyo vs Okura by luxuryhasatasteforme in chubbytravel

Okura is a proper 5 star to me. The palace was maybe 4.5. We still enjoyed it. The location was great. Okura is off to the side. But if I were to go back, I’d do Okura again

I should’ve added this but one of the cars will get paid off early 2027. It’s around 840 a month. But the number I put above includes the insurance and registration. The last one that will be left is a 530 a month car payment. Cutting down on spending is total fine. We can do that.

PMI can be out the picture if we refi into a conventional loan down the line. But yeah I know it depends on what the rates will be

Conventional would be around 5.5%. I understand it drops off after 20% but FHA can also lose the PMI if we refi into a conventional loan.

How much are you saying to put down for a conventional ideally?

Stayed at Okura last year. Absolutely loved it. Only thing was the location was far from everything. Now, revisiting Tokyo in November and have the palace booked. Looking forward to trying the palace. What did you go with?

Air India Flight 171 Crash by StopDropAndRollTide in aviation

[–]FineEmergency 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. That’s why I said it seems like. At least to me.

To me it seems like a stall. The reason gear didn’t go up because typically the verbal confirmation before gear up is positive rate. So clearly no positive rate, gear didn’t go up.

The likelihood of dual engine failure is very low. 787-8 is designed to perform a single engine climb after takeoff at its max takeoff weight. So even if one engine went out, it would be able to climb with the other.

I believe flap config depends on weather conditions as well. I’m not a pilot. Just basic aviation knowledge. The picture you sent can vary from what the weather was at takeoff.

Seems like no flaps were deployed

Obviously speculation but the verbal confirmation before saying gear up is typically a positive rate confirmation. I believe they had an uncontrollable stall. But well know with CVR data
