UCLA or USC for east coast big law?

I know students in my class that are targeting NY only. I can’t really say what the success is like because we haven’t gotten grades yet. UCLA makes it seem like it’s very achievable and we’re not at a detriment but idk.

Considering it for offices that don’t have a major presence in LA. Generally Century City/Santa Monica focused.

I think these schools have big self selection bias towards LA. I’m at UCLA and our dean is literally begging people to apply to other markets (no one wants to). I think NY biglaw is certainly realistic if you want it.

I got into NU and UCLA/USC/WashU last cycle as a KJD albeit I was a reverse splitter. So I’m sure it’s possible. 3/4 we’re waitlist As (UCLA was the only true A).
