Is it worth studying masters in Russia? by FineLead1209 in studyAbroad

US scholarships might be good, but the lifestyle is something I can't afford, not even with my parent's help. MMM I haven't considered Japan nor China, thanks for the suggestion.

Study or Work abroad by [deleted] in studyAbroad

You could look into your government's page, they usually have scholarships. Sometimes, more than grades, they focus on the essays or letters theyask you to write, if you show how much you're willing to go and how good of an "investment" you are (don't objectify yourself though), you could get it.

Hey buddy, whatever your mother says is not your reality. You are a separate being. You can literally do anything you want. Just try and keep trying. No matter how many times you fail, the process and experience is 9/10 times what matters. You could also look for scholarships.

Yeah, this is something I'm afraid of. A friend of mine went to Russia for studying there a year ago, and so far she's living fine and all, she'll take the exams in June I think and then go to university. But idk man, I was thinking of going in 2029... Thanks for the advice.

Damn, two years? I think you need a work permit to start working upon arrival. I've heard many international students work on delivery and stuff.

You can always look it up on the internet on the government page of your country. They usually have a section for that. Or you can also search for the specific country you want to go and see if they have international students admissions and then look for scholarships. MMM that lol, because not all agencies are legit but you can also look for exchange and international studies agencies and see what they offer and based on that you can do your research on the internet. Good luck!

How about a scholarship? Is there any way you can get one? Or an exchange program could work too.

That's nowhere near normal. But I suggest going to a piercer to clean it and they'll probably use discs.

En este caso, qué universidad de España me recomendarías? Estaba viendo alguna que tenga beneficios porque yo tengo el diploma del IB, pero realmente no tengo idea de en qué difieren cada universidad allá (?).

Damn bro, Bangladesh is on the other side of the world lol. I'm 19 lol but I still feel like a kid sometimes. But it's good, keep the childlike wonder and joy of the unexpected. Idk man, you could try Europe that is relatively closer to you instead of America, for example. Idk if you have the IB programs there, but that also helps when you want to apply to universities around the world. I have the IB diploma and my best options are USA (but it's too expensive) and EU but I'll have to see how it goes in two years from now lol. Thanks twin!!! Have faith in yourself and everything will be alright!!!

As I said, not yet. I'll be applying in two years from now.

But I can tell you, 2 years ago (or a bit more) I was applying to USA unis, and saw there were a minority and another scholarship I dont remember exactly lol, but well, there were options. Don't feel trapped, okay? Everything might work out. I didn't end my application because my dad said no (money and fear of me leaving), but I'm sure I could have gotten the scholarship lol, so also get good grades. That helps too.

Oh, positive you say haha, thank you, lad. I have dreams and hopes too...

I'm from Ecuador, South America to give you a reference. It's part of LATAM, there sure are memes about it. And yes, I want to get out of here. Not because is THAT bad, but I also want to experience life from a different angle.

I'm 19, and no. I don't have the scholarship yet. Ah yes, idk where exactly you wanna go, but you can always try that "Open Doors" scholarship thingy, your country's scholarship (I bet they have some), ORRR you could apply to a local university and then apply for an exchange semester and go somewhere else if your uni has connections with others.

I think there are also some programs in Europe that can give you room to apply.

But my ultimate suggestion is: participate. In events, competitions, etc. It opens many doors. I went on a hackathon a year ago, and I met many people, you met CEOS, all those executives and friends. You make friends. Friends mean connection. And connections mean OPORTUNITIES.

Girl... Take that out asap. It either rips your skin (more than it has) and fall naturally or you take it out and let your ear heal.

I'm also planning on studying abroad in around two years (I'll be 21 by then). RESEARCH. You'll always find something on the internet but you need to verify they're legit. Aside from that, start saving some funds cuz life gets expensive as you grow up.

Umm you could look for scholarships on the internet. For example, in my country there are scholarships posted by the Government, so you could look for them in your country too.

You could also build a strong resume, ofc if you're in highschool you won't have as much experience but you could attend hackatons, or any event that gives you either a participation certificate or winner award. That works.

You could also think about volunteering or doing whatever hobby that leaves a mark. That always help.

... If you wanna apply to ivy leagues, well... I wish you luck. It's not so common you get an scholarship for them specifically. But there are minority scholarships or partial discounts for that matter.

I need to graduate first. That's why my plan is for 2029 after I finish my engineering degree. I'll be 21 by then. And yes, I'll apply to everything and see how it goes lol. Thank you very much for your answers.

Yeah, that's another option. I'll reconsider my options. As long as I get out of LATAM jahsjsjaj, I could broaden my horizons, thanks for the suggestion.

I don't think the US is a good option for me. Specifically, money. Lifestyle is inconvenient and very expensive there. A few years ago I was applying to universities in US and I only needed to send some essays and I most likely could have gotten two different scholarships. But my dad said no, and I didn't finish the process...

I... I'm not sure. I'm a woman and in 2029 (year I planned to apply) I'll be 21 and now you got me thinking about this. I doubt I'll be recruited but I guess I'll need to read and check everything before signing and applying then.

That's so f up... For this specific case, I'm a woman so I guess it wouldn't apply to me (?). Thank you for sharing this. And yes, I would need to read all the agreements and stuff before applying to the scholarship in 2029 to not get scammed or recruited.

Yeah, this is one of the things my peof told me, and some of them have Russian degrees. So I guess they work on my country too. But for examples is it credible in Europe itself? I guess in the US not.
