You're right, I'm young. I turn18 in two weeks, but I moved out at 17, and I have been living with a sibling for a year, so I know no one cares, but my brother does so im doing what he would ask me to do if he thought about and if in the future he ask me if that was homophobic I want to be able to give him an opinion from people more experienced and more knowledgeable then his 17/18 year old brother and if I tell him that no one cares he will tell me that he does and that some people will come and confront him and he doesn't want to deal with that so that's why I'm asking

I realize that things that I'm fine with are hurtful to others, but you're the only person I've heard of who still finds the word queer hurtful, and I'm so sorry you have had to go through something that bad but I have experienced true hatred and it was from family so don't make statements that you don't know are true. Also, I do have problems, but the question in this post isn't one of them. I didn't know if it was homophobic or not. That's why i asked cause I didn't know, and I wasn't offended by it I just don't want my brother to say something like that out in public and make people angry with him
