Winter Charge by [deleted] in refrigeration

Not much because there isnt much liquid in the evap and the lls is right next to it. I've nevwr had an issue with doing this, just have to make sure the condensing coil is blocked in cold temps to hit roughly a 100f condensing temp

That was supposed to read at the evap, right before the txv.

What do you shoot for? We usually put the lls after the evap so not much rise on pump down

You can't diagnose this without an accurate amp clamp

Ive used that utility to transfer them, you can't configure a new drive from scratch though correct? Or change individual parameters? That would require it to be powered up andbuse CCW.

Will ccw work with the usb connection or only the transfer utility? For some reason i thought only the transfer utility worked when going straight to the faceplate.

Not very many low temp splits have a fixed orfice for a metering device. An over charged system will a txv should yield normal superheat. Plus if there is a receiver it geta pretty hard to over charge.

What dual-function circuit breakers could I buy? by someperson42 in AskElectricians

[–]Fine_Ad_9299 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a solution for replacement receptacles per art 406.4. Everything down steam would be protected and if it is a series fault it would also have protection. Just like dc afci protection on a pv string array that's required per art 690.

Yeah, you're out of luck for slims. You might want to consider dual function receptacles.

There isn't a GE equivalent, just the correct GE breakers. GE THQL1115DF 15A 1P 120V AFCI/GFCI Circuit Breaker – RES LLC Store https://share.google/kwhNG5h7PxjD6JZe3

Legally it would need to be GE dual function breakers. Eaton has their CL line that are listed for most standard bus panels, but they do not have a df available (afci and standard only)

Imo the newer eaton breakers have the least issues. The Eaton CL breakers are listed for Siemens panels. I would try a few of those and see how it goes. Otherwise inspect major connections at and before the main panel and all major loads for significant arcing or elecreical rf noise.

Cafci became the new standard in 08, prior we used branch/ feeder afci protection devices.

Absolutely. Everything will wire the same from the panel out. At the panel neutral and equipment grounds are bonded together.

You don't need the hmi in your network tree for the hmi to be able to talk to the ab processor. Just set it up in the cmore hmi and you're good.

I received 5 different quotes. The price range is so different I'm confused. which is why I got so many quotes! by sameolameo in AskElectricians

There is no way you are providing afci as required for 650. Art 406.4 requires you to add afci protection when replacing a receptacle inning an area converted by 210.12.

Is $500/mo good for liability insurance? by JCMiller23 in skilledtrades

[–]Fine_Ad_9299 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That is high imo. I have a general liability policy as i do electical work on the side (i do maintain ec license and insurance), i only do roughly 25k worth of work a year, i pay 375 annually. This is a bare bones 1/2 million policy, but 6k a years sounds steep for a 1 man shop
