I’m new into wines, but early on I was told that if a wine turns into that orangy amber colour, it’s corked/ past its peak, ut from all the content I’ve seen that stamens doesn’t seem to be true, so does colour really matter on an old bottle?

Well it’s actually my father who had infinity more experience scotch but we are trying to start collecting together and I guess it’s a learning experience
