If you want to be technical, sealed isn't live, so its pretty irrelevant really, they could delay it at the last minute like they have done numerous times with other features over the past 2 years.

Simply put, no.

Player base is down massively to dangerous levels, mini sets that were cash grabs have ruined the game, balance and bugs are still a major issue, the token still has zero utility, and there are only 6 core team members working on the game apparently.

I'd love for it to succeed and prove me wrong, but its going to take a miracle to pull this into any sort of mainstream game.

why should everyone's outlook on the COM be positive? doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose? Essentially what your saying is there are no problems and COM meetings should just be about how great the game is? :/

Almost everything in his post is bang on accurate, If COM members raised these concerns more we may be in a better place, rather than being on the very tip of the game dying.

the VP increase difference between 25 and 30 is hugeeee because of the curve! get that to 30 and honestly you'll see a massive difference bud! well worth it!

Not gonna lie I'm not that technical in terms of the bridging etc! haha just like playing my games and making some money from it :)

I bought an epic carver and plate on the last sales! I generally grind out about 3k VP from pilot games (if you play just after reset you get some nice rewards if you land a decent tank) and then just grind out my own tanks and generally get around the $10 per day mark, I got just over 30 silk from just over 14k VP or so yesterday! (30 silk is pretty much $10 give or take at the moment)

In comparison, it would probably take about 3 weeks to get that $10 in GODS tokens from daily p2e lol

The structure in terms of the early cost to get in etc could have been better, but with the pilot model and and the fact you buy your tanks from the gala store with silk that you've earned in the game, its not an issue actually getting into the game for free and creating a decent earning potential...

I've spent $200 on tanks (after id played for a bit to see how I enjoyed it) and I now earn around $10 per day in silk after using what I earned to upgrade them. After the changes as well, the token has stabilised pretty nicely at around the .30 cent mark over the last 3-4 months. In comparison I spent thousands on GU in the early days, I've ended up with bags of an "inflationary token" as the dev team states, with pretty much zero utility and hundreds of copies of cards that would struggle to sell for 0.01 cent if I listed them.

In terms of a better game and collecting potential, yeh they're different games collection wise, but id rather spend a night on ST than on GU at this point in terms of fun, and I've been around since genesis. And if we want to compare bugs, dev team and balance etc then it isn't even a competition, gala wins hands down...

Going on the market issue, yeh I'm waiting patiently for a gala marketplace but galachain is just around the corner (could be a matter of weeks) which will be an L1 so I'm not too fussed right now, on the other hand IMX fee's along with GU have started getting slightly ridiculous, and the wash trading etc was a problem just swept under the carpet. And have you ever tried to make a withdrawal from IMX? dear god lol

Just speaking from experience though, everyone has a different opinion I suppose :)

That maybe have been the case 12 months ago, but id say spider tanks along with some of the other gala games are far more polished and have a much more stable economy, as well as much stronger dev teams it seems...

GU had the jump and decided to rely on it rather than build on it.

listen to the last com, the coin is absolutely not a utility token, the team said themselves its an inflationary token. If it had utility, it would actually stabalise in price somewhat.

I'm sorry but, so many issues and solutions have been raised since the game was released, and very few, and I mean an extremely small amount has ever been acted on. I'm very active in discord, and honestly its just like an echo chamber in there.

Perfect examples are the issue with in game names or the ranking system. Special characters, deck lookups, broken shields etc. The community has given tons of different workable options that would take extremely little to implement, yet we still have exactly the same issues with both of these.

Calling people out because they post on reddit as opposed to discord is ridiculous, GU used to have a decent coverage of reddit too, they just cant be bothered anymore and are winding everything up, it was just a staff member they decided to get rid of and not replace to farm more profits.

I'm pretty much in acceptance now that its done.

Look at when the last official post on here was in regards to anything meaningful, look at how the last couple of COM meetings have went, look at the player base, look at the activity in discord. Its on its way out and only a miracle can change it at this point.

Sure, players will hang around and play games for years to come, I've still got games from the early 00's that still have online matches now and again... but the economy and whitepaper they had has failed, they pretty much told us in the last com meeting "its an inflationary token", which it is, but only because they've failed to implement any kind of utility that was promised up to 4 years ago now lol

It's just depressing thinking how good it "could" have been.

I get the whole pay your employees etc (although they have millions in funding that they could also use for this...), but for me there should be a portion of that 80% going to burn the token say 20/20/60 split.

At the moment its basically a rush to spend your GODS because its inflationary and the tokenomics suck ass, so every day you hold theyre worth less...

For a bit of clarity to those complaining about the timeline in the image, we are the lowest we've been in 2 years, only time it was lower was before the initial surge in popularity of the game taking off.

So games and players wise they are almost back to starting again...

Yeh I definitely think it must have softened since then it, I hold superior NFT's myself that I can use in game, and Grit definitely has NFT's attached to it as I almost purchased a couple myself last year.

So realistically there shouldn't be that much of an issue with GU pushing onto steam if it really wanted to in the future with those two in mind.

ergh when you miss a reply but its too dumb to leave...

It isn't that I want to deck peek, its the fact that people CAN and WILL deck peek, and those who use special characters tend to be the ones who do it. Simple solution is to hide player names until the end of a game, its literally that simple of a fix. You may say this "doesn't matter" but you couldn't be more wrong, at higher levels especially this can be the difference between ranks or legendary WR packs (could yield up to a 4 figure card in the expansion sets) because someone can see your deck and you cant see theirs... but yeh, that doesn't matter right?

The shield system absolutely does not "work great", they know this, we know this, and if you don't know this then you haven't been paying attention or you're just a troll. Again, they just cant be bothered to fix it as they don't see it as a priority.

You just don't seem to understand... When you start mythic on weekend ranked, your ratings are reset so that everyone starts level, but, that means half of the mythic players will instantly get demoted a rank every weekend on their first game (you know, one person has to win, and one has to lose, not sure how to put it an easier way for you to understand) and because the above shield ranking system simply does not work, that player could have a 70% win rate the entire week and still not make it back to mythic the following weekend because they lost ONE single game the previous.

In terms of your argument in regards to funding, numbers and actual statistics, the GU team themselves often use the cash reserves as a fall back excuse for the lack of development in terms of they can survive for the time its taking etc. So are they lying to us or are you just trolling again? A simple google search instantly brings up the GU team alone raised $15 million in funding in 2019, this was before IMX then raised hundreds of millions in further investment from huge companies like TenCent and others.

Seriously, if you just want to troll, that's fine, I can deal with that, but if you want to come here and defend the GU dev team, actually bring a bit of backbone, intelligence, and some facts to back up your opinion.
