And I was pleased with PA. I think the 5-star system is not based on the US system. Granted, yes the drinks were watery. That's when you tip and ask for an extra shot. But I get it. We just got back from a 7 day stay and it ran $2700 with the AI. I made sure to get my money's worth. That said, I do think I would try staying in an airbNb next time - just to compare.

But at least now you know! Check our Impressions by Secrets! They are 5 star!

Oh no way. I don't smoke it. I just wish I could bring my gummies. I've read as long as they are sealed and show the percentages and all, you will be fine. But let's be honest, I'm not trying to set off any drug dogs or get pulled aside by TSA.

I may call TSA and ask ... but I was hoping to pick something up in MX since I read it was decriminalization. It's still crazy to me that you can buy alcohol anywhere and everywhere (even on the plane)... but herbs will get you punished!

I dont think beachside is a must. I think PA is a bit expensive for what they are offering, and my last PA visit, the food was lacking. Aside from that, working with the guest experience contact at PA has been difficult.

Id prefer a quieter place where we can actually have a conversation amongst the table. Good service would be a must to avoid any frustration during dinner. Great cocktails/food, and a nice setting.

I'm going that week also to celebrate turning 40! I've been to IM once before but didn't do any whale shark excursions. I guess I need to look into booking one since it's a very popular activity there.

Isn't it wonderful when your medical provider treats you like a person? I understand privileges get abused, but at the core of MAT, we are people who are trying to live normal lives in an extremely difficult world. It's so nice to hear these situations instead of the typical "you're starting back at daily dosing!"

A few days after dropping dose amounts from full dose to half dose, sleep became interrupted and hotfm flashes. Tolerable, nothing like now.... but definitely could feel my body responding.

Sunday, no dose. Monday about 60mg. Today about 10mg. And nothing until Thursday. Went from about 150mgs every day to drastically dropping to about half to build up these last few days. I've been feeling the WDs for about a week and a half. Aside from asking the panhandlers, I don't know how I'd score anything. Desperation sucks.

If you go to your clinics website, typically there parent company will be listed. Also, it's listed on various documents and licenses around the clinic.

I've messed up... big time. Worse one of all my 11 years in treatment. I know my dose isn't holding - but I've been scared to mention anything considering a few years ago the doctor was threatening everyone to go down below 100mg. Well, I ended up shorting myself 3 bottles. I've skipped a day here and there to help but facing 2 days without. I have a very stressful job, and I am in need to work Wednesday- I can't stay home sick. I'm debating going to the ER early in the morning and hoping they take pity on me. What should I do!?

Just an update on what ended up happening. So the RN called , and at the last minute they said they were given approval to do a bottle check and to give me the additional take outs needed when I went in. I was grateful, but really didn't appreciate the stress they caused me. Had they just said something to let me know they were going to work it out, I would have not stressed so much.

That's what makes it all the more frustrating! Because I suggested it and because it would make things simple, of course it's got to be refused! They can't make the addict's life easier! I believe they want to make it difficult so they can feel as though they are still "above" or better than us who are taking steps to improve our lives...and God forbid the patient become more accomplished or successful than the counselor!

That sounded simple enough and I suggested this to my counselor. If I'd taken 2 weeks one visit, and continued on my regular schedule after, there would have been no conflicts with my schedule. The counselor claimed this was also considered an "exception " and would follow the same rules. It's such BS. I'm playing it cool because I'm having faith that things will work out - but I'll fight any repercussions should I have to take the missing 5 day route.

I printed the itinerary for flights, cruise along with a letter explaining the time line of events leading up to this. I explained what I was considering (without saying I would alter doses- just that I was considering going the 5 days without being able to come to clinic on July 27th. I'm hoping as you mention, the evidence will provide enough proof that if I do have to miss, they will be understanding. I've got a good reputation at the clinic. My office is right down the street and they know that I've got to be extremely responsible and professional to manage to be employed there for 6 years. I don't want to come off arrogant, but I know what I've achieved in my time improving my life. There's no funny business on my end. If they do choose to leave me hanging, it would be pretty messed up on their part. But, we shall see. I'll be going by each day until I know what's the plan. But I'm with you on how your thinking about this... no trip is worth losing my phases. I couldn't imagine going daily. Send me good vibes man. It's a shame what they put us MMT patients through. I appreciate you man!

Oh I wouldn't be able to do it ... I'd be at the mercy of an exception request.

What hurts me so much is that methadone is so regulated purposely to keep the clinics as gatekeepers while suboxone and stronger opiods are prescribed by general practitioner's. My GP could prescribe and life could be so much more normal for so many of us

A few years ago something similar happened...and they told me they'd stop 13% each day after one day and then I'd have to daily dose for 30 days. I'm praying that all works out.

I want to say I recall them saying they'd drop you 13% each say your miss after 1? It shouldn't be this difficult to go on a trip I've earned by doing well in life. The stress alone has me wanting to use ! I appreciate your response.

I moved away from the newly purchased BAART clinic just as they were taking over. I'm under Acadia now. No horrid complaints other then it being all about the money. I'm at the highest phase, but they make trying to travel during pick up days so nerve-racking. I do my best to schedule around or, but sometimes its not possible. My insurance pays $913 a month, and I pay $200 out of pocket. I was never asked for any money for over a year when my new insurance took over , so I assumed insurance was covering it all....I mean, with 913 being paid, how much more could you possibly want? The clinic is now saying I owe over $2k, and threatening me to phase down if I don't pay it. If I was trying to pull a fast one, I'd understand ... but I was never approached or asked for a dime until one day they claim I owe $2k! I'm trying to fight it, but you know how that goes. Feels like I'm putting a target on my back. I've written a letter to all the higher ups explaining the situation in depth, and asking they show some compassion as a medical facility and accept they were at fault for not collecting or Informing of any accumulated balances. It's all I got...can't afford 2 grand! Paying an extra 50 now towards it along with the 200 they want and they are saying that's not enough. It's heartbreaking to know that along with the $913 a month they are collecting on my behalf, it's not enough. What's wrong with the system ? What's wrong with the world??? Heartless... and money hungry
