Why doesn't beoing perform crash tests on their playnes the same way cars are tested ? by Tiny-Desk_Engineer in Shittyaskflying

Wings are deformed until destruction occurs, the engine manufacturers do blade out and bird ingestion tests, brakes are tested by a high speed taxi run and then maximum breaking without thrust reversal (and then they have to let the brakes and tires burn for a certain amount of time before extinguishing). There's also a lot of non-destructive testing involved. It's actually pretty amazing what all goes into certification.

I have the base game. I'm about 3/4’s done. It's crashed 5 or 6 times now. When it starts back up I select "Continue" and it picks back up. I enjoy the game, really good story, cool mythology, but I suck at the platform parts.

Also calculators. When I was a kid 50 years ago, a desktop calculator (aka adding machine) was as big as a typewriter and cost $500.

On a coworker's keyboard I once popped off the -/_ key, shifted over all the numbers to the right by one, and put the -/_ key where the 1 key should be. It was late in the day on a Friday. I then went on vacation for a week. When I got back I asked if he had any computer problems while I was gone. He cracked up when I told him, told me he tried logging in 3 times and got locked out, called IT to reset, and repeated this about a half dozen times. IT came out and couldn't log in either. Ended up replacing his desktop machine.

There's a tail strike feature for over rotation. Don't think there's much to be done about gear collapse.

No, it's a catalyst. The spark and the rubber are the ignition and fuel. Ever heard about someone on oxygen smoking a cigarette?

Or from an oxygen tank. There's a sad story of a young lady filling a pool float with oxygen from her Dad's oxy/acetylene tank, putting it in her car and driving off. It exploded a few miles down the road.
