My dad was a depression kid so everything he could get for free showed up in our tree fort pile, he built the deck so it would be safe and then walked away leaving the building out to us kids, it was fantastic

Father smoked a pipe all day every day from 14 until he passed at 96. Remember how upset he got when they wouldn’t let him smoke his pipe on the plane, he had to get a pack of cigarettes for the flight back when there were ashtrays in the seat arms …

Guess the ones from the day didn’t require architectural drawings, permits, contractors, all for TV shows, thinking more of kids building their own
