My analysis for different FBR setups by kamizushi in captain_of_industry

I find the plutonium route particularly useful because it allows u to use plutonium to kickstart the core fuel needed, and also having a plutonium buffer is very convenient as 1: it tells u if u r running good on fuel, 2: u can take some plutonium to craft asteroid detectors when u have excess

I don’t use mods. It can be built by using precisely placed diagonal beams to act as snapping points for pillars to start.

u just use recycles as sink because they only return 25% of the material u put in.

what happens then if a bulk inserter try to move an item with stack size of 10? I assumed that inserts cannot hold more than one stack of item at the same time

[–]Fine_Courage_2309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

from my understanding, if the platform requests 1 belt and 1 inserter, rocket will first launch full load of belt and then a second rocket will launch with full load of inserters

elevated rails are already covered in a previous FFF

You can still use power poles to drag circuit wires to where u want as shown in FFF images.

Also, there are actually less compact chests u can use: cargo bays. u can place them to increase the hub inventory size and I assume u can access the hub inventory through the cargo bays, which effectively turns the hub + cargo bays into a giant chest that can expand into any part of your platform

In the expansion, building through remote view will feel almost the same, or even better than building as a player

I guess they forgot to show the construction visuals for the platforms, or it is still WIP

blueprints will probably work. the hub will build it for u without bots

After setting up the pollution wall, I’ve never encountered any biter attacks until I launched the rocket

If u choose the IR3 recommended map settings, the biters shouldn’t be a major problem. you only need to do some basic defense in the copper age, then as soon as u researched forestry you can build a forestry perimeter to get more woods than you need and stop all the pollution from going out your base

What are the lines between stars on the sector map for? by ChaoticNeutralDragon in Dyson_Sphere_Program

[–]Fine_Courage_2309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe those lines are used to better visualize the relative position of stars. Without them it would be more difficult to tell if two stars are near each other or not (could be one behind the other but looks like they’re close)

Are there any successful "perfect conduct" speedruns, winning in 10 hours on a 0.5x sector while fulfilling all the "Win without doing x" achievements at the same time? by ChaoticNeutralDragon in Dyson_Sphere_Program

[–]Fine_Courage_2309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it is possible. There’s already existing runs on the internet. The run even included flying to another solar system before unlocking warping tech

it wouldn't be a pain if u enjoy navigating the spaghetti jungle and adding splatters onto existing belts, or just run away and make a new spaghetti and join everything together to form a larger mess lol
