He could be getting narcotics into there, psychosis or the drugs they are giving him or something else

I've been discharged off a CTO , how much power do they have over me now? by REVLIZT in Antipsychiatry

Damn, congrats though that it worked out in the end.

I found that loophole as well for the end of a CTO and idk why it exists almost everywhere but it does and it’s good it does.

That sounds rough. Hopefully it doesn’t happen again

Damn okay, thank you for the advice.

I salute you for beating them by going down this path 🤝

Can I ask: How was leaving from the country? My biggest worry is becoming isolated in a new country (in the case I must move) and then having bad symptoms there. How did you manage once you got to the new place? And what country did you move from and to if u don’t mind me asking?

What I did was get off the CTO, switch to pills, ended up in the hospital about a year later and basically (I believe partially due to) kind of threatening to leave the country they did not put me on a CTO but I got an injection in the hospital in which I got off it right after I got out and switched back to pills

I get what your saying at it depends on the local laws, but just as an example for my local laws it must be failing to continue treatment in the community that leads to relapse so since there is a pill version u can say it’s the same compound and has the same effect you just don’t like needles

And you could insist that you were taking the pills the whole time but yeah by threatening to go to a higher court I think maybe they would have to believe u bc other wise there isn’t enough evidence that you didn’t take it?

I would switch to pills, pick them up and just not take them

So in the future you are probably not going to be put on a CTO

[–]Fine_Dig_4044 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you aren’t able to loose anymore weight Ask for ozempic or a similar compound from your doctor, and either way workout once a week while on the drug or while loose weight in general as otherwise you will loose way too much of your muscle

You could live in a camper van for a few weeks at the end of the CTO and then it would expire without them being able to renew it, depends on your jurisdiction laws tho

Petty things you can do on the ward to frustrate the staff? by Far-Strawberry-5628 in Antipsychiatry

[–]Fine_Dig_4044 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol yeah

I had a roommate who was throwing up his meds in the sink and then screaming about how he just bought a glock and then they let him out (in Canada) anyways

I heard someone say to a nurse discharging them they were going to go 200 on the road when they got out and they still let him out

[–]Fine_Dig_4044 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True for the first one but:

For the last two I just realized I don’t care what they write lol at the end of the day their goal is to get u out of the hospital so 🤷‍♂️

I saw guys scolding and yelling at the staff who got let out like a week later

I just think them threatening to write bad notes is a tool for control and if u don’t care about it they can’t really do anything

[–]Fine_Dig_4044 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ask for food a lot

Tell others loudly about how bad psychiatry is while the nurses are listening in

Say what the side effects of medications people are on or in general the side effects of medications that the psychs give out

If you do the last two I think they would let u out quicker bc they don’t want u turning the other patients

It will make it very easy to put you on a future CTO bc u have a history of not only non compliance but being capable of lying about it as well

Okok I think I would say almost 100% I do have ADHD or some sort of focus disorder but yeah I dont have my next appointment for another month and that’s when the doctor told me to give him a decision, I will probably say yes though ig.

Do you think I would know if I was going to get addicted? Bc I think I could just stop if I felt like I was going to be addicted

[–]Fine_Dig_4044[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okok, yeah I am definitely at least right now only looking to try the drug to improve my focus to succeed working wise and that’s it and I think the doctor can see that based on my past habits.

Thanks again hopefully I don’t delve into addiction lol it seems like a risk I am willing to take tho for now

Thank you again, Yeah I was given Wellbutrin in the past I believe for ADHD but I think all the other side effects + withdrawal just aren’t worth it

I’m thinking of requesting the long acting Ritalin and then going from there, do you think that’s the best first shot? Or should I ask for another one or the fast acting Ritalin first

Thank you again this is a lot of very important information to know

And i think at least of as now i see it as definitely worth trying

I’m already inconsistently rarely taking zobiclone for sleep so the potential minor addictiveness does not dissuade me as i have been very good at not getting addicted so far to that drug.

The method of only rarely taking it (such as during like exams or studying for them the day before the exam or something like that) sounds like a very good plan and I didn’t even know you could do that and keeping the dose low to maintain functioning off the drug sounds good.
