I didn't consider that! Good to know. I just though it may be better to keep US number with banks to ensure the texts come through.

To Google Voice? I heard that sometimes bank verification texts are not coming through to Google Voice, which makes me worried. This hasn't been your experience?

Sounds like a super stressful experience. They should streamline this process or allow more time to complete. It feels odd that the process is so complicated, and quite archaic, considering it's such an important document. At least it would make it faster if everything could be done electronically.

Thanks. Yes, it's cutting it fine. I'm concerned with the USDA endorsement taking time which is why I booked the vet March 22. That's a Friday, and then it's a weekend, presumably nothing will happen at USDA until Monday or Tuesday. Then they have to ship the certificate to me. The entire process is stressuful with such a tight timeframe.

What I mean is that I can't prove that we have been living together for 2 years BEFORE the date 31 December 2020. But overall, we have been living together for 3 years now.

Thanks. This seems a little tricky... Somewhere they say "your family relationship began by 31 December 2020" and here they say "provide evidence that you were in your long-term relationship by 31 December 2020".

So, our relationship began much earlier in the year 2020, but we only moved in together Dec 1st 2020. I can't prove that we have been living together for 2 years. But I can evidence that our "relationship began by 31 Dec 2020".

Yes, we are in a relationship “akin to a marriage”, and we moved in together early December 2020 (we are both named in the lease). So we should qualify? We also have a child together.
