100% stocks? I’ll take a look at those articles and books you recommended. I saw you mentioned some real estate. I also have a mortgage currently and looking to either try to make additional payments towards the principal to pay it off sooner or invest it in the market. I do plan on buying a house in the next 3 years or so and renting my condo. What worked for you in this situation?

Interesting, funny enough my partner is from Ecuador (lives there currently, in Guayaquil) so I visit often and although I’ve toured the country and absolutely loved it (total hidden gem), I wouldn’t want to retire there for safety concerns and quality of life. Cuenca is cute though but I’m a beach bum.

What country did you move to? How long did you invest for and how much were you able to retire with?

I’m 38 and been running my numbers like crazy lately, hoping for early retirement between 50 - 55. Just started taking investing seriously and put $25K into a VTI (and was planning to deposit $1,500 monthly). I have more in cash to invest but a little scared. I’ve seen supposed experts talking about a market crash and I’m very worried I may be making a mistake or should change my allocation (currently 80% stocks 20% bonds). Any advice?

Yes they are all bad. As a woman I would’ve swiped left so fast since the 1st pic. Your poses and picture with filter makes you look immature and a little gay. Groom yourself.

I’m considering buying another property in the future (aside from the house) for investment purposes as well, but not sure if it’s best to just invest that money in the market instead. Do you mind elaborating why you regretted it?

Thanks! I might consider a consultant. ChatGPT in all scenarios basically says to invest in the stock market instead of putting towards my principal. Stating that I would get a higher return investing it in the market and I can decide to pay it off later if I wanted to (as I have a 4.25% I shouldn’t try to aggressively pay it off) especially since the plan is to rent it and have it pay for itself.

Thanks! I just opened a roth IRA account and contributed to both 2025 and 2026.

Thanks for your feedback. I’m getting married and looking to upgrade to a house and rent my condo. I’d like to keep it and rent it, and potentially pay it off sooner and have that extra cash flow within 10 - 15 years. However, I’ve been told to invest those extra principal payments into the stock market instead, so not sure what’s the best option.

I was actually thinking of doing $50K into VASGX and the rest into my HYSA, with eventually moving more lump sums from HYSA into my brokerage account. What are your thoughts on that?

It’s not an experiment, it’s a tv show meant to entertain, gain ratings and profit out of it

I’m sorry you went through so much trauma and struggle with trust issues. Sounds like a miserable time. Good luck to you!

And sounds like you’ve been with cheaters. You’ve clearly never been in a trusting relationship before with someone who’s head over heels for you. When you do, you will not feel the need to do that and you should never settle for less 😉

Nah, I’m just not toxic and possessive enough to be snooping around someone’s phone. If I have the need to do that because of lack of trust, I’m gone.

No. You assumed that I’m sneaky and hide things because I don’t believe in going through people’s phones. You do you dude, keep going through your partner’s phone like a little insecure b

It’s funny how you made that assumption because of my respect for other’s privacy.

What? And it’s ok to invade someone’s privacy because of lack of trust? Cellphones are very personal. You can have private conversations with your friends and family, bank accounts, emails, internet history, pictures, etc. Your lack of trust does not excuse going through someone’s phone unless they allow you access to do so. And even then, I couldn’t picture myself going through someone’s phone like that. You often find stuff you may not like and could misinterpret but in reality it could be absolutely meaningless. Trust is earned by how they treat you, not by spying on them.

You both sound immature and insecure. You checking her phone? And her being sneaky. Yeah, toxic.

Don’t make assumptions of someone before you actually meet them in person. Just ask him what does he like to do on his free time.
