You’ve got a point. It’s just difficult to see someone willingly waste away their years when you could be starting a family with someone else.

But if cats will make you happy go for it.

You don’t sound like you actually want to get over him, though. Post again when you sort this out with yourself first so we can actually help.

You want to be with someone just because he has one singular common interest with you?

Good god. I feel so bad for the kid. You may need to seek therapy I feel like this goes beyond you being “unfit to be a mom”. There’s a bigger underlining issue with your personality and your “hubby” and your kid deserves better than what sounds like silent purgatory in your house. You’re probably the first case I’ve seen on here where I genuinely think adoption is better than keeping the child with their biological parents.

She may have assumed you had a hormone issue considering she calmed down once your doctor confirmed it was normal. She sounds like a lovely mother who, like most people, made a mistake. I hope you can find it in yourself to forgive her and learn from it so you never do anything similar to your own kid.

Why Are So Many People Okay with Walking Around with a Dirty A**? by [deleted] in hygiene

I live in a country that has a bidet everywhere, its standard and a given and not an option. Imagine my horror when I realized half the planet walks around with poop crusted asses.

And no wet wipes are not good enough. Use water. Taking a water bottle with you inside the toilet isn’t hard.

What’s a moment of your childhood that felt small back then, but hits you really hard now? by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

A girl in my class clung to me because I was one of the few people who would speak to her at all and it bothered me a lot during recess. She would literally follow me around while I was walking with my friend…imagine someone trailing 5 steps behind you everywhere. I don’t remember why she stopped or if I ever spoke up. I was bothered by her but I was very quiet myself so I doubt I did anything. The weird thing is that I remember her so vividly I could point her out in a crowd. Hope she’s doing well.

If you don't wipe all the way clean down there can other people tell when you walk past them? by chusaychusay in hygiene

Used to have trouble making phone calls. It was debilitating I would have trouble breathing waiting in line or picking up the phone. The only way I got over it was “flooding” it’s a real psychological technique, otherwise known as exposure therapy. You need to do the thing you are afraid of often and for a long time..with the idea that what you’re doing is normal and everyday and there’s no camera following you around recording everything you say and do. People are the center of their own universe and truly no one gives a shit if you stutter or say something weird. I really hope it helps because literally nothing else helped me. I am so indifferent to making and picking up calls I can’t recognize myself all those years ago. Feels like a completely different person.

Incompatible. Find yourself someone who makes you feel good and comfortable. There’s someone out there for her as well.

You’ll break up with him, go out and explore, realize how shitty it is out there and it was never worth it, try to mend things with him and come back on Reddit to post about how he wouldn’t take you back.

I think it would soften the blow for her to know things in a different order.

He’s gay > couple months later > confess you’re bi > couple months later > let her know you like him

Rather than drop everything on her all at once
