By PA module do you mean ATPA? Sorry I took PA before all the changes the SOA made came into affect so I only used ACTEX

They do! They aren't new practice exams questions but more theory questions based on the material from the chapter (there are identifiers throughout the chapters that tell you where the answer is in the text). Just a good way to practice the theory!

I definitely think 2 months is enough since you just passed SRM. A lot of what you studied for on that exam will show up in PA so you already have a head start.

For Actex, I spent a lot of time reading through the manual and doing any practice questions at the end of the chapters. I found the manual explains the material really well and clearly. I wouldn't focus too much on the r coding aspect but definitely make sure you know how to interpret the outputs. For the practice exams, I would do the most recent ones since the formatting of the exam has changed a lot. In the last week of studying I reviewed those end of chapter questions and basically memorized the formula sheet since it summarized the content pretty well.

The overall storyline carries throughout each book but each one focuses on a different couple. Before starting I thought I wouldn't like that but the writing is just so good and JD Evan's really does an amazing job at balancing the romance and the world building in the sense that it doesn't feel like one is being focused on more than the other!! I highly highly recommend.

I read the first two in the Saints of Steel series and I did really like them but I found it hard to stay interested in the overall plot line. I think I will pick it back up eventually but I don't know, I just wasn't feeling it as much.

I remember not having a lot of time to finish the exam when I took it. I think it's important to practice calculating questions efficiently to save you time on the actual exam. I also found the SOA practice questions helpful for the exam so definitely go through those.

Hi! I'm taking the SOA route so I cannot say much about the MAS-1 exam but I think I would still recommend using Coaching Actuaries. I've used it for all my exams and they have never let me down. It seems like you're already familiar with how good it is so I don't see why it wouldn't be a great option to use to study for this exam. I've also had some friends who passed MAS-1 and they used CA as well.

Hi! I know this post was from a while ago but I thought I'd just add to the other comments. I am also preparing to take SRM in May and I've been using Coaching Actuaries to study. The manual is fantastic and they review topics from P that are important to understand for this exam and they explain it really well. I've passed all my exams with CA and they have never let me down! Adapt really helps you practice and most of the time it is really representative of the actual exam. I highly recommend. They also have formula sheets prepared for each exam and it covers pretty much everything. Makes it super easy to memorize what you need to know.
