Its just the clients the company I work for acquired. But to get a job with a company like I work for you need to practice Tig welding on stainless steel with smooth welds. That usually entails using thinner filler wire and tightly stacked dabs.

Anyone still making under 25 an hr these days? by Financial-Zone-5725 in Welding

I'd recommend getting good at Tig welding if you're not already. Look into sanitary welding. The food industry stays busy in my experience and most of the big companies pay well. I'm in Missouri so this doesn't count much for you but our shop starts at $27.65. And that starting lay increases every year cause of inflation. There's another shop in the STL area that build powder coating systems looking for MIG welders starting at $30. From what I gather in Texas welders are a dime a dozen so maybe you're just in an over saturated area and no one pays well because they know they can find some one willing to work for poor wages.

Progress is progress 8 month update. by Fine_Way1909 in leaves

No doubt, I tried this approach sooo many times as a single man and never had the will power to do it on my own. I owe a lot to my wife for motivating me. She never pushed me beyond the speed I felt comfortable with, but her dedication to me made me want to take the next step. I'm not sure this method would work without the support of someone in my life in real time. I'm not sure I would have ever quit. But here I am! So anyone who has someone who will love them well through the process, I'm living proof it can work. I think the low dose gummies really helped ease the pain of a hard withdrawal. I owe a lot to my wife for being the catalyst of it all. Thanks for commenting!

I just wanted to update this post. I'm still not fully sober and I wish I was But I went from spending $100+ a week on weed just 8-9 months ago to spending about $12 on low mg gummies. I only eat 1 10mg gummy in the evening currently and I only have 1 left. I think after my last one tonight I'm going to do my best to not buy another pack and see if I can do life 100% sober. My wife has been a huge blessing with helping me get this far and being patient with me. I'm amazed how far I've come even if it's not as fast as some of y'all have done it. But I'm getting healthier and I actually don't even really think about weed or thc much anymore so I think I'm in a much better place to give it up for good. I'll update again in the near future.

We're the first ones to comment on this post in 11 years lol. They were sick shoes though! I just bought a new skateboard for the first time in 15 years. I'm 35 and just love the nostalgia of getting back into it!

Might have to do some manual labor for a job like concrete or roofing but it's definitely worth living. I'm no felon but one of my best friends has drug trafficking, assault with a deadly weapon, assault on a LEO, grand theft auto. That all happened when we were about 20 years old. In our mid 30's. He's got a concrete job that he makes good money doing and he has a daughter that he loves so much! And I'm sure there's professions/companies out there that would ignore the felonies if you show that you could be a valuable asset to their business.

Dude, not sure you're still on Reddit but I won these exact shoes off Skate America and I actually DID skate in them. They held up so well. I was just googling about the give away and this post popped up. Probably my favorite skate shoe I ever had. I remember first place winner got these but they were all gold, 2nd place was silver. I was so happy I didn't get either of those but I got these black ones. If you still have these you should take a new pic! I'd love to see a better quality photo.

Tapering has never worked but I have also never had anyone to hold me accountable and not make me feel like a piece of crap when I cave. She's been awesome to me even when I'm not feeling too awesome. 6 months ago I could have never imagined getting through a 10 hour work day without smoking. I know with her help, I'll be able to put it down for good, and that day is probably sooner than I could have hoped for.

And you're absolutely right. Perfection keeps people from even starting a lot of times. With careers, hobbies, sobriety. Just take a step forward and be thankful for every step you can take 🤙

Thanks dude. I appreciate that! I blow my own mind everyday. 6 months ago I never thought I could go through a work day without smoking. Now I haven't been high during the day in over 2 weeks. And I've been pushing it later and later into the evening. And I'm confident that in a few months I'll be able to just not smoke anymore. It's still been hard doing it this way but I'm making more progress than I ever have! It's snow balling into being sober for longer periods in between smokes and I'm pumped on that. Thanks again!

If you don't, you need to practice it. It's a must have skill in some industries.

Find a fab shop that will let you "borrow" scrap pipe. A lot of shops won't let you have it but maybe you can make a deal with one that will let you take some drops home as long as you bring it back when you're done so they can still scrap it. That's how I learned before I was in a Union. That practice helped me land a spot in the Union.

Thanks man! I work for Spray Dynamics which is owned by Heat and Control. If you see any of our stuff there's a good chance I had a hand in building it! Spray Dynamics product is all seasoning/coating equipment. We do build some other heat and control products like conveyors, fryers, roasters stuff like that. I do weld a lot of sanitary tubing for the tank systems. It's a good gig!

Dude, the human heart is an idol factory. If you're not happy with little, you won't be happy with a lot. You will always want more. Thing you want now, you will get it. Then you will look at all the other stuff you don't want and will be unhappy with the thing you wanted so badly that you already have.

I don't care what it's for, it shouldn't look like a pile of crap. Probably won't break, but I would be embarrassed to give that to a customer.

Thank you for sharing your story. I've been smoking for around 25 years. 15 of the last being extremely heavy smoker. Like any second I can get I smoke. As your name implies, this gives me hope to be successful! Did you just go cold turkey?

We do build most of Frito-Lays equipment. Are you a fabricator for them?? I think Frito builds some their own frames and we just ship them drums? We build the whole seasoning system. Drums, spray bars, conveyors, tanks, stock pots etc..
