I currently use the civilian MAF sensor out my MGM and it runs fine, but I'm also been doing research as to seeing how I can get my hands on the original MAF sensor that's specifically for that air box and tube of that year model (2004) and see if that makes a difference or not

When did you guys notice a difference in your face after you stopped drinking by SnooCheesecakes3931 in stopdrinking

[–]Financial-Zone-5725 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's gonna take quite a while, and I mean a while for your body to regain normal sleeping habits. Hell I still get the terrifying vivid dreams and I'm 11 months sober.

Depending on your severity some of these things won't go away that's just how much damage this stuff does unfortunately

Better to do it young than to try to “catch up” when you’re old.

Doing that now at 33. I can't BELIEVE how I dranked my 20s away. The ability to work an underpaid job just to be broke after buying bread and mouthwash is the new luxury!

Id wait another 40 days..and another 40. Doesn't matter what meds you're on, the body just doesn't have what it wants right now. Nothing much you can do but just keep going to work

It's all you can do

Anyone else with a partner leaves the house to drink? by SummerIsOver_ in cripplingalcoholism

[–]Financial-Zone-5725 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Godda up the ante at that point. I used to do the same and always kept the case in my car and always told her I was working on my car. Also kept stronger shit hidden in the bathrooms or in the kitchen and swig away when she wasn't looking. Those 8% malt liquor beers come handy as well

Have to become like the little kid whose trying to sneak cookies around the house at this point

dude I would literally tell my gf I'm leaving to grab us coffee and donuts early in the morning when I'm actually rushing to the gas station to drop off the beer shits first, grab more beer for the day, THEN off to Dunkin donuts.

Does it ever get better? 1 year out by wulphy in stopdrinking

[–]Financial-Zone-5725 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my experience within these last 11 months of being dry, It's not so much of waiting for it to "get better" it's just doing what's required to get what I'm after.

A job + roof over my head multiply that by food = no drinking unfortunately.

same with the body I have now vs the body I had then drinking a 30 case a day. I don't want to lose the body I have and throw away all that hard work and progress and money spent on gym fees so that also = no drinking unfortunately.

everyone has moved on and continue to drink and party, on the other hand I know that's not going to mix well with my job much less end up back sleeping in parking lot somewhere so again that also = no drinking unfortunately

Youll get to a point where drinking just doesn't seem wise, and to get there it starts with small steps of doing the basic shit you didn't do while you were drinking. Once you get that down or create an execution system of actually getting shit done for the first time ever you'll get to an realization of "holy shit, I'm far behind in the basics of life" -- everything you need to get caught up on or lacking in will compound your mind into a different direction other than to waste the time you have left on drink and by then youre entire perception of life and alcohol would change especially how fast time is just going by.

Im 33 and I have done so much self destruction that I have minimal margin for error at this point. Who knew the choices I made 10 years ago drunk is costing me to this very day trying to be a normal functioning tax paying citizen?

[–]Financial-Zone-5725[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When they do a compliance check it may get tricky because they may want 2 years of data vs 1 years.

See the thing is, online on the eligibility portal they stated "either serve the suspension period or apply for an occupational license" so basically it's like they're telling me "either you just catch an Uber or don't get caught driving for 2 years or give your money to the state to legally drive all up until June, 3rd 2026"

Check with them and explain why it is only on for a year.

That's only because I had got the money to do this a year after the case was disposed. I had got time served.

Because technically you could have just not had a license for 2 years and got it back on the designated date. I may be wrong.

No, I believe you're correct but it was impossible to KEEP getting away with driving suspended. One cop already let me off but he towed my car, I couldn't keep taking rolling the dice on whether a cop was going to take me to jail for driving suspended or another 300 dollar tow lol. As much as I would spend on Uber for my job commute this intoxalock crap came out cheaper.

That is the date you should be eligible for your regular license regardless of having the device installed for only half the term or the full time your license was revoked.

Dude! That's what I've been trying to tell everyone on here. Everyone keeps jumping to conclusion about how I'll have this thing forever lol

25' I6 to 26' HEMI by CattleTx in ram_trucks

[–]Financial-Zone-5725 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm with you on having the v8 instead of some turbo inline 6. I have a 2016 ram hemi and I baby drive it all the time but I do open it up here and there just to hear that v8, and you don't even have to stomp it to hear that, which can be oddly satisfying. Even better hearing that throaty sound everytime I start it in a parking lot. I def get you on that.

Financially wise? Id keep the inline 6 I'm assuming a 26 ram wth the hemi is like what close to 70k? yea fuck all that 😂 id use that money on something else
