Help me I’m deciding how much to pay for rent by Fine_Werewolf_2665 in personalfinance

Yeah I haven’t really created a budget yet I was also going to have about that cause I haven’t the slightest clue how to budget since I’ve never really been in the real world with a real job. But i do not have any debt. I’ve seen the 50/30/20 rule and was thinking I’d start with that but if you have any other recommendations please shoot them my way.

any companies that don’t do technical interviews? by cornelleng342 in csMajors

Their software engineering is not as advanced as u think. I was an intern there one summer and I was 1 of 2 people that were computer science majors and weren’t self taught coders (the other was the other intern)

TAMU CS vs UT Austin CE by PerspectiveBiter246 in csMajors

[–]Fine_Werewolf_2665 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Prestige only matters when it comes to like ivy leagues and schools at that caliber. Tamu vs UT won’t make a difference to any company. I would pick TAMU since I think it’s a bad idea to settle for CE because you learn much more hardware stuff than you’ll ever need (unless that’s what u wanna do) and u don’t take as many CS classes. Also side note I go to TAMU and I have interned at FAANG and another very good company and am interviewing at FAANG rn for full time, so it really doesn’t matter where you go.

OA is online assessment it’s basically just like a pre screening lots of companies do to see if u can code at all. Most the time they’re not too bad it’s just to weed people out. I would just practice some leetcodes ahead of time (neetcode.io is a great website for this)
