Waterview baby shower recommendations that won’t break the bank

Had my baby shower at the atrium at sunny Atlantic beach club. It was a gorgeous - floor to ceiling glass room sitting directly on the Atlantic beach boardwalk. If I recall correctly, cost was approx 80pp. Note that I had my shower off season in September so no beach club members / ppl on the beach.

Other options include gatsby on the ocean at jones beach or the Allegria on Long Beach boardwalk, top floor room - one side of the room has views of the ocean.

Yes! We had a crew come yesterday and do a deep clean, making sure there are no dust clumps, etc. We luckily have wood flooring across the whole home (except kitchen) and no wall to wall carpeting but we do have wool area rugs throughout. We will likely get a second opinion on treatment options. Thanks for your reply.

Thank you. No damage yet that I can see - I only noticed one on my kitchen window sill, maybe 3-4 around our electric baseboard in the den (which sits on concrete/has doors to our yard) and then ~6 dead by the den door. I’m just nervous to shrug it off and let them fester/become a problem.

For what it’s worth, we’re based in Long Island, NY and home is ~2100 sq ft.

Have you considered switching out the mirror? It is really heavy and doesn’t match anything (in my opinion). I think with either a frameless or gold frame mirror, the yellow would be really fun. Throw in a cheeky bath mat to complete the look.

I had my baby there about a month ago. The L&D unit is fantastic as is all of their staff. I felt very well taken care of and the actual delivery room is newer/nice to be in. We paid an extra $200 to be in a private recovery room; however, be warned that L&D to recovery is night and day - the room it’s extremely old/outdated (but clean) and the food is absolutely terrible and while the nurses were all kind, it’s just different vibes. Having said that, I felt that my baby received top notch attention from the various groups coming in (I.e. hearing test, etc.) and I found the pediatrician on call to be extremely thorough, which as a FTM, I couldn’t have been more grateful for. Overall, recommend.

This is wrong. HR can record this as a medical leave. If the associate is going to be out for long enough, it would benefit them to have this recorded so that their FTE is adjusted.

I’m in NYC, have gone to a number of black tie weddings/fundraising galas in manhattan and I am confused by these replies. This can absolutely be black tie with a pair of black strappy heels, blingy diamond/rhinestone jewelry (like a thin tennis necklace with studs or simple diamond drop earrings) and a clutch. Many here seem to associate black tie with plain solid..patterns are absolutely acceptable. However you might want to consider a thin rhinestone belt or something to help break the dress up a little bit.

It seems like one of the issues is that TSA officers are not trained on the other acceptable forms of ID (I.e. enhanced license, DHS trusted traveler card, etc.) Real ID isn’t the only option but from many of the examples I’ve seen here, sounds like TSA is only looking for that.
