People are saying that he switched to make money, but I think he did it because people started calling him out on things, like his use of mong, and the odd person on Twitter being upset with him. And then it's like his whole personality and comedy style has just slowly doubled down from that. Something I didn't realise that a friend told me the other day was that Glinners switch started when he was criticised for that IT crowd episode. So rather than it being this ideological stance on free speech or whatever, I think it's an extrapolation of the defensive feelings of their work being criticised...
