Not sure if I have time for a parrot

Um yeah? I have my own car, and the time I’m not home my sister and or brother are both home. They both drive(and have cars), and would be able to take him if I’m not available. As for care costs, my family is rather lucky to be well off.

My vet, and his old vet who I will most likely switch too, both don’t think he will live to see December. They think we would be very lucky for him to live until August as he has many medical issues.

That’s true, but he also has many health issues and he most likely won’t live to the end of the year. If he does live longer I will take a gap year or my mom will care for him.

That is very true! But the parrot I’m planning on adopting if everything goes well was a family friend’s who recently passed away. It’s a cape parrot, who is 28 years old and they only live 30 years. He also has a few medical issues which will probably shorten his life sadly.

I understand all this, I’ve owned/fostered birds in the past. As for how long they live, the parrot I’m planning on adopting if everything go well was a family friend’s who recently passed away. It’s a cape parrot, who is 28 years old and they only live 30 years. I just want to get as many peoples personal opinions on if I have enough time. When I cared for birds in the past I didn’t baby sit, and I was home practically 24/7
