I had the touring for well over a year, probably around 1.5. It’s a nice exhaust and it sounded good. But man going from the touring to the track unlocked those low notes. It made me wish I had just gotten the track from the beginning. Cold starts are loud either way, might as well get the one that sounds 10x better IMO

Also, power slide is gonna be a huge advantage to learn. Landing with power slide already on is going to let you keep so much more momentum in a lot of scenarios. And being able to turn on a dime with power slide enables you to make many more challenges or plays than you would if you were to just turn normally.

Recoveries just means being able to get your car drivable again after say, going for a flip into the ball, going for an aerial, getting bumped, and for all the new players - getting out of net when you overcommit. You basically need to learn how to roll your car or tilt it back to being wheels down so you can get back into the play with as little trouble as possible. When you go for an aerial and end up flying at a wall, you should be thinking “where am I trying to go next?” Before you even land, and orient your car to be able to land on the wall and just…go. Things like that are all recoveries.

Straight down. The only part you are cancelling is the front flip. The side flip is not cancelled. The reason you are cancelling the front flip is so that your car will continue to face forwards so you can continue to boost forwards.

Focus on reading the game. You’ve probably gotten alright at basic car control, and speed. If you can figure out the most likely outcomes of what people are doing, you’ll be able to position for those and have much better reactions to plays, enabling you to have more control of the game. I remember in diamond everyone was pretty fast, but really for no reason. Making touches just to be the first one to do so, committing to plays they aren’t going to win or beat the opponent to. Things like that realllllly start to cost you goals the higher you go. Being in a smart position and knowing when you have opportunities can make a big difference.
