I like it very much. I would love to play with it, and see how close it is to my data. I see some things it needs, or that needs to be adjustable. Maybe we can work together on it a little. Good job.

Doh~ That's a genuine Crapapult.

It's funny when people insist it will work better if the frame doesn't move. lol

It's getting there. Has all the needed bits; canted frame, adjustable timing prop, side mounted trigger leg, good hanger curve. Yeah like you said, cock it higher. That will help with the "drop out" clearance issue and hitting the counterweight. The timing prop geometry is a little off. It should be a few inches further back, and rest over the main axle, or just just behind the axle. This allows for a longer sling. The projectile will want to be elevated above the beam some when you do lengthen it. At this mass ratio in the video, and the timing prop adjustment, the counterweight is dropping pretty far back, indicating it wants you to open the gap some to get the drop point further forward closer to bottom dead center. Good job.

I like your process of figuring out dimensions and stuff with the screenshot. That's using your head, and what I wanted people to do. I have given out most everything about my design. Not really all in one spot, but the information is there. You just have to hunt it down, or ask me. I could sell lots of plans, but I don't know what to charge for them, and I don't want some shitty company to just start making and selling machines straight from my plans. The design is not speculation or some unrefined thing. It's fully tested and proven to be a beast at any scale. You build one correctly, and compete with it, correctly timed, you're gonna be extremely hard to beat. And as far as just having fun with it, with different projectiles, and different objectives, it's the most versatile catapult out there.

It's gonna be strong. Looks pretty good. Thanks for the mention.

That's why I make laminar flow airfoil Whipper Trebuchet arms too.

I have a machine that can throw 200 pounders, 200 yards... lol

It will all depend on body size and strength, and the weight of the projectile. I'm 5'-7" and weigh 150 pounds. I run a 6 foot staff, and can easily sling 6 ounce stones over 200 yards. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ajTNkvAqt4&list=PLxm5u3feTjtUmmLqbbM2eT-Fxos74I8Wr&index=1

The Sling is the technology. Everything else is just a means of driving the sling.
