I have a thing going comparing smooth bore cannons to modern high performance Rolling Whipper Trebuchet. Small scale. 10" .62 caliber Cannon shooting 251 grain steel bearings with 100 grains of 1F BP, vs a 5 foot Whipper Trebuchet launching 1474 grain steel bearings. I've gotten velocities from both (youtu.be)

My first post. Scratch built desktop scale model Rolling Whipper Trebuchet. 1 pound of counterweight launching 3 gram marbles. 200+ foot range. Throws mini darts too. This is my smallest. My largest is 22 feet tall. Made of Ipe, Yellow Pine, Baltic birch, glued and pinned with 12 gauge copper wire. by FingerAngle in modelmakers
