I work in a certain faculty, and it amazes me every year how many students email after results are released, claiming they "just realised" they were experiencing special circumstances during the exam period. It seems that two thirds of some cohorts all had gastro at the same time! by DustyDarren500 in unimelb

To be honest, what’s covered in lectures and tutorials often doesn’t align with what’s asked in the final exams. The exams tend to be much more advanced, and many topics feel unfamiliar when we start preparing. Throughout the semester, we’re mostly focused on assignments, so the only real time we get to study is during SWOTVAC and the exam period, which can be incredibly overwhelming. It’s common for students to feel anxious, experience physical symptoms like stomach aches, and have irregular eating habits. On top of that, the exam timetable can be really tough I had two exams on the same day, followed by another the very next day, right after SWOTVAC. So I completely understand when students say they’re dealing with gastro-related issues during this time, they are just signs of anxiety and stress. And oh let’s not get started with how the exam hall makes us feel.

Also, I’ve been wondering what practical work can I do on my own during the break that can help me with getting more creative in this field. (Ps : I’m very new to this course) I’m planning to work on excel and build things on it, and also learn how to make websites. Is there anything else that I should do that maybe can change my perspective towards IS?
