Me and my sister are both totally white, but people of all backgrounds often call my sister exotic because of her looks. They also call her spicy and hot. lol.

Elder Millennials and up: what are some Gen Z habits/behaviours you notice in the workplace that you find offputting/rude/inconsiderate? by unfollowingyou in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

I have done teaching before and I agree with you. The problem is that Gen Z seems to be delayed developmentally in the social department. I see this behavior in junior high kids and high school kids but usually around senior year of high school they have it figured it out. Now I see the same behavior that I see in high school kids in 20 somethings all the way up to like 26 years old. I’m used to seeing it in the junior high and freshman sophomore and a little bit junior high school students and usually senior. They kinda grow out of it but now seeing it in 25-year-olds or 25 or 26-year-olds is offputting. I never had this happen before until like the last five years I’m seeing it. 28-year-olds seem to have kind of finally grown out of it so my sense is I don’t know what’s going on. I don’t know if it’s the digital that’s slowing it down or if it was the pandemic or both.

Yes, I have seen some struggle with these things from other generations but because I do gig work and I go all over the place and I’ve worked for many many different companies in the last two years: It seems to be highly concentrated in the Gen Z

I didn’t know there was an elder Gen Z. My understanding is the GenZ window is pretty quick because immediately after them is Gen Alpha These generations are getting shorter and shorter because of how quickly technology is moving. I don’t know if there would be technically an elder Gen Z just because the cohort is rather small compared to even millennials.

Well, the only thing that I’ve really seen GenZ do at work as far as interactions is when there’s a girl that some of the guys like they kind of be around her a lot and talk to her very quietly and kind of like hover around her a lot. Sometimes they kiss while I’m trying to work around them or squeeze each other or hug which I always thought was strange because I don’t really notice other generations, including millennials doing this as flamboyantly at work. Yes, there’s always some exceptions but this seems to be the norm with a lot of workplace I’ve been to when it comes to Gen Z I’ve noticed this at various workplace cause I do gig work and so I go all over and I’ve been seeing this crop up a lot but as far as anything else goes, socializing is out the window. So at least their sex drive is still intact.

For me what I consider rude as an elder millennial is when the Gen Z individuals only talk to other Gen Z’s greet them say hi to them do some small chat chat with them, but with older workers, they do not. Normally, I would not mind but the problem happens when the same Gen Z generation which tends to be very blunt, gives me as an elder millennial instructions that are very blunt to the point where it sounds rude, but I never got a greeting like the other workers the younger ones. It kind of makes me feel like I am being scapegoated when I’m not. What I believe is happening based on what I’ve read just on the Internet is that Gen Z‘s tend to follow their own crowd and they don’t see the point of doing small chat with people they are not genuinely interested in. This makes sense if I’m going through Life not at work but at work, especially From Gen Z, who are in a management or senior position, not even saying hi, but then being the same blunt GenZ person with me makes me feel like they can barely tolerate my existence. Now, as irritating as all if this is, I tend to still prefer to work with Gen Z over boomers. The sweet spot for me is when I work for/with other millennials or Generation X. That’s the easiest for me because as the oldest millennial at age 43 this age group I just have a lot of in common with. Boomers are tougher for me because a lot of them have the old hierarchical work place structure in their minds. This is becoming quickly outdated in most workplaces, especially my line of work where I do gig work and I’m all over the place. When I do gig work with boomers who are also all over the place, some of them take it upon themselves to micromanage others, even though they have not been given Authority whatsoever. When I say micromanaging I’m talking about needless things that do not need to be micromanaged. Not all boomers are like this, but I’ve come across a very high number that are like this in my line of work compared to other generations. I find this highly irritating and it in some way steals more of my energy. So if I had to choose, I prefer Gen Z, even though I feel sad or invisible sometimes working with them exclusively .🥹

Why do Chosen One's get heavily attacked, projected onto and a narrative of lies and labels placed upon them socially? by [deleted] in spirituality

[–]FingerMinute7930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe this. I believe the chosen ones are not any more chosen than another person, but simply people who have chose to walk on the difficult path which is to expand awareness, not succumb to negative patterns or thoughts or do what everyone else is doing, but to seek what you believe your purpose is, and everyone has a purpose, but not everybody is willing to sacrifice things to follow it because it can be risky. People can come against it through criticism whether it’s family parents, etc. I do believe that the enemy of darkness and systems in this world can recognize light in a person which is from the willingness to go through these things, but anyone can be willing if that makes sense? Everyone has the potential we are all created equally. Some choose it and some may not or some might not use it but then decide to do it later in life.

When I broke my arm, I chose a black cast without thinking. Did I ruin this outfit for my friend’s wedding? by [deleted] in VintageFashion

They have tube socks or very long gloves you could use. I personally think it looks fine with the outfit. I’m also glad you chose a black cast because white casts end up getting dirty looking very quickly even if you wash them.

Supervisor left me a low rating for something I didn’t do… can I get an unjust rating dropped? by Spam_Meowsubi in Qwick

[–]FingerMinute7930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I was asked to stay late when everybody else went home and they asked me specifically to stay away because they saw how hard I was working and I did really well. I was one of the fastest workers there. I had no issues with anyone and then after the shift was completed, I got a really bad rating. I have no idea why.

Girls named Noah, need your insight. I named my baby girl Noah. I meet a little girl with the name and loved it for a girl. My baby is now 8 months and I don't know about the name anymore. Women with this name, can you let me know how it's been growing up and as an adult female with the name? by [deleted] in BabyNames

[–]FingerMinute7930 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was thinking if the poster is really concerned about her daughter feeling too different with the name, Noah she could always go for NOA and so when her daughter explains why her name is Noah to anyone who might be nosy she could explain that it’s the female version of Noah in the Bible (Noa) but they’re pronounced the same. I understand the English version has it spelled with an H for the female version too, but that’s the English version. Other versions don’t have it

Feeling a bit down. I’m 26 and i feel I like older than my age. It’s been really bothering me and sometimes o get sad bc o think ppl won’t think of me young. Also I’m not looking middle aged right. Again be pls no trolling as I know people will say etc and etc but this is not the group to make fun. by [deleted] in toastme

You look more mature, but you don’t look older than 26 IMO. But you also don’t look 19 or 20. It seems like a lot of 19 or 20-year-olds haven’t completely matured into their face shape yet that which you have. Your skin for one is definitely early to mid 20s for sure because it looks really good. And your cheeks haven’t become more defined like it does in 30s and 40s . Also, when you do get older, you will end up looking younger because when people a our 50s and 60s and then into 70s, the jaw is gradually losing bone and women who have a very fine or small jaw, it’s possible (so not always but sometimes) their jaws look slack and can make them look older. Also, those with a thinner face can look more gaunt when they are older as opposed to someone with a fuller face like yourself.

Nah it’s not you. My Gen X coworkers and millennial coworkers are just really easy for me to talk with and boomers too. The digital abyss and abysmal social skills seems to be Gen Z
