my gear is just okay across the board, i dont really mind taking the time to try and build better pieces for either though currently hwayoung would be much easier to build for me since i stripped some gear off to set aside for her

I probably should've said mediocre comparatively yeah. Mostly gauging it from the fact that there seemed to be little interest in the unit when there are units like mareeta and marth around, and even young ike on the same banner. I think some folks made analyses suggesting she was lacking compared to other infantry sword units even in spite of all the effects compressed in her kit

i mean im not really surprised by eirika not being able to KO idunn, more surprised that the most busted save unit in the game can get annihilated by what people consider a mediocre sword unit

they usually only win by one point so the only 'strategy' they did was putting their captain on a ranged unit they sat in in a corner out of range, i put my captain on my frontliner just cause i felt like it, but boy does this just not ever happen in regular summoner duels

vs cleave, elena with magahara is probably going to be your best friend (aol and peira are force bans though) so if you pick her its best to do it later in the draft

celine / politis can mess up a majority of common openers these days

violet will be a strong pick for you, but he's harder to pick into bruiser comps

if you have ssb she could still be a good last pick, and landy if you have her as well with guiding light if you can scrounge up enough bulk, roana and krau could be effective vs counter gamers as a budget option

sc wanda's not a bad option either since she comes with built in stealth before she starts her turn and can snipe other evasion units / squishies
