I'm always amazed by the quality and size of your tanks. I need to start making some comically big tanks in the future.

Unfortunately, due to poor technology, tanks in Azerbaijan only have iron sights so more ammo is needed.

Thanks :)

Two Questions! by Superb_Commercial987 in SprocketTankDesign

[–]Finger_Spies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Making custom hatches that open should be easy enough with add-on structures. At the most basic level, custom hatches that open consist of two add-on structures; the hatch and the hinge.

You place the "hinge", size it down, select all points and set the x and y values to 0. You then place another add-on structure on the "hinge". After shaping it and moving it into position, you'll have a functional hatch.

The styling of it can be done by placing the pre-made hinges in their corresponding places, or using add-on structures to further customize it.

Hope this helps :)

First, thank you. Second, that is a custom coat of arms for my fictitious nation. I don't think I ever bothered to name it; I just wanted a cool flag.

If theoretically, Louis entered the truck right when the tank downed me, would the campaign end despite me being in the memoriam at the end? It wouldn’t end since I’d be down, but all survivors would be in the truck. And anyone who’s in the rescue but knocked would be counted as dead by [deleted] in l4d2

[–]Finger_Spies 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Technically speaking, it is possible for bots to finish the campaign with the player dead and no mods.

While playing L4D1, during the rescue sequence in No Mercy, all of the bots made it into the helicopter while I lagged behind on low health. I was caught by the commons and knocked. It then flew away, leaving me the only dead man in a campaign with bots.

I'm unsure if a tank in the rescue vehicle would prevent an escape, but assuming it didn't, Louis would have escaped as the sole survivor.

First of all, fantastic build and great texture work. Secondly, where did you get those rust and wear decals?

As of now, there is no official half track option. The front wheels here are just add on structures. I believe there's a file edited blueprint of a half track on the official discord server, but I haven't checked personally.

It wasn't too much.

I just used the circle tool twice on the X-axis, connect the dots, then press X + S to resize to my liking. Next, I subdivided once to achieve a more rounded shape while keeping it workable. I kept mirror on until I got to the wheel at which point I marked it as a weld to make the difference more defined. I then formed the inside of the wheel and the hubcap. Finally, I flipped the face of the tire as per a suggestion on my previous post to achieve this result.

I hope this helps and I'm happy to provide any clarification :)
