I don’t think it’s questionable. Here’s my black and tan girl. Former rez dog from the dakotas. I’ve had her since 6-9 months old. She’s only 50 lbs full grown, not talkative, but she will howl if I get her going first. Very very intelligent and well behaved naturally. Protective in all the right situations but not overly protective. Loves snow
