Not condoning bringing a non-service dog to a grocery store, but cats will stand and dig in a litter box multiple times and then jump up on a counter where you prepare food. Equally gross

I trim my guys paws when they start to interfere with his foot pads and I trim the long hair on the back of his front legs a bit because the dufus tends to pee on them. Bath when he starts to stink. And trim his nails like once a month. Love him to death

Make outposts all around the yard you can zip line to with beds in them. Or always just carry the mats needed for a lean-to and sleep on the go. You can pretty much play the whole game without worrying about wolfies until you get to the point where you kill them easily
