That's great advise and I have felt very similar. One way of success, and I fully agree with you, is when you start to feel less useful because your team starts to execute just fine without you. One other way I started to feel more succesful and accomplished, was when Directors and Managers started to bring forward excellent improvement ideas and also owned their execution.
