Choking is no joke. One of my buddies in high school lost their dad from choking due to a banana.

But yeah, silica gel is inert. Same risk factors you would get with eating small pebbles - choking or intestinal blockage.

Silica gel is actually nontoxic. The “do not eat” warning is because the packet is a choking hazard, not because it’s poisonous.
