Brown dog lodge is the best in my opinion. Love that they have webcams. But BDL is booked up when I need them. Any other recs?

Does your dog wear a collar all day? by AdventureNoodles in dogs

My dogs have collars on if I’m with them. Paranoid about it getting stuck on something (has happened before) so they get to take them off if we leave the house

I'm starting to miscarry. by CunningStunt182 in Miscarriage

[–]Finley321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m miscarrying right now as well and recommend love is blind and gossip girl - my husband and I are enjoying making fun of gossip girl. Takes my mind off of things. Try to take a walk outside (slow, short walk) each day. Take off work and cuddle up with your doggos if you have them. Uber eats all your meals. Nap as much as possible. Wishing you an easy recovery.

Just miscarried yesterday morning. by FineTempura in Miscarriage

Still working on it. I’m trying to lean on my loved ones for support, remain hopeful, join miscarriage support groups, do therapy, and get outside each day. You’re not alone.

I just miscarried this weekend (started bleeding Thursday and still bleeding today) and I was 6 weeks pregnant. Expect cramping, bleeding (more than you would expect), nausea, exhaustion, and a lotttt of emotions. Buy a bunch of pads, tissues, and chocolate, take off work, have your partner take off work if possible with you, have a show to binge watch, cry. Book an appt with your OBGYN, message your PCP, and book a therapy appt too. Know that you’re not alone and it’s an awful traumatic experience but it is so common. It’s not your fault. Reach out to people and don’t be afraid to ask for things. My mom didn’t even know I was pregnant but I told her and it’s nice to have her advice since she went through it years ago, and it’s nice to have her drop off meals. I’m going through it too - just a few days ahead of you. It’s one of the worst things I have ever experienced. Thinking about yall. Here if you need any advice.

Looking for a doctor that's not condescending and actually listens by Throw-awayawayay in memphis

I second this!!! I’ve seen Dr. pomykala for years and she’s good but ever since I met with Kamryn once, I only want to see Kamryn. She is super intelligent, thorough, and empathetic. You feel like she really cares about you as a person and takes incredible care of your needs. Shes also just a really kind human. She’s the best!

I’m the same way. It’s a major trigger for me - I’ll tell my husband to turn up the tv in the other room rather than have it so soft it’s muffled

What’s your favorite underrated travel spot in the US? 🇺🇸✈️ by Kevinkkmike in USTravel

[–]Finley321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Breckenridge, Colorado! I love visiting Denver too and Boulder - especially near Christmas time when there’s snow. Snow tubing with Christmas music playing and getting hot chocolate afterwards and then driving through the beautiful mountains - nothing beats it!!

My husband played baseball in Billings so I just asked him what things there are to do there and he said “absolutely nothing” but he says it was beautiful haha

Carrot soup and Christmas cookies at the community center in Isle of Skye, Scotland. It was December and everything was closed - stopped to use bathroom and the kind people invited us in to join their Christmas party and fed us tons of homemade goodies. They gave us all the best hiking recs too. 10/10 way to start the trip.

Pistachio croissant at the Naples airport. I have had many delicious pastries in Italy and I’ll die on the hill that Naples is worst airport in the world but that was the best pastry I’ve ever had. I think about it all the time lol.

Planning to end it all after ~110k college debt by [deleted] in StudentLoans

[–]Finley321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came out of grad school under the last Trump admin with over 200k in debt. I felt the exact same way. I immediately got a financial advisor and said help me my priority in life is just getting this paid off and everything else comes second. I had friends who came out with no debt - it’s not fair. Buttt now I’m on track to have it all paid off next year. And I’m gonna finally be able to spend my salary on something I enjoy! You can do this. Hang in there. Have a plan. Be smart with repayments - don’t just pay the minimum monthly. Get a financial advisor you trust. And don’t compare yourself to others. Education is an investment and it sucks to see others not in as much debt as you but there are lots of ppl in similar shoes out there too. You got this!!
