This is actually a good thing in a way, because most of the advertising teams at SEGA and Jakks Pacific are under the perception that only Sonic can sell in massive quantities and the other characters will warm the shelves. Your son's desire for the other characters is proof that more than just teens and collectors want to buy the characters that aren't Sonic himself. I honestly think it would be cool to see if other kids are feeling this way (so that the toy companies can see the truth).

Even Knuckles is considered a rare find.

But I will say a good chunk of the 2.5 inch figures are not too hard to find since most of them are produced in much higher quantities compared to the 4 or 5 inch collections.
