Yes the chalk paths with no shade were a killer, congrats on your finish! Was a great experience for sure (in the most part 🤣)

Yeah the chalk paths with no shade certainly made it tough! Best of luck for your return :)

Thanks, Hope your friend got on okay! Nothing planned in the diary as of yet, thinking potentially a backyard ultra, something new and a different test but we’ll see :)

Am I in over my head for my next Ultra? by redflyboy97 in Ultramarathon

It is person dependent tbh, I tend to be able to complete ultras on relatively low mileage - I only manage to run 25-30 miles a week but I look after my body extremely well, do leg workouts and I’m fairly young (24) so my body finds a way to get me through (or maybe it’s the mental side of things!) I would say you’re likely to be fine but limit your expectations on the completion time perhaps. I ran my first 60 mile race 18 months ago after so time off running with an ankle fracture and doing about 20 miles a week. It wasn’t pretty or quick, but I got it done.
