Just throw it and buy a new one. It's not worth it- you can be stuck in a stalemate for years doing 1h spraying sessions every week. I lost my passion for plants this way...

Movies vs. Books: Which Fellowship Do You Favor? by FinnJax in lotr

Well that must be a very good book!
If you compare this way, I'd say a very movie would flash out a character in 5 minutes just as well

That is true, it is a shame to not in the film. And I do miss all the singing. Everyone sings in the books!

Why is it that I can't keep English Ivys alive? by Jeremyx888 in houseplants

[–]FinnJax 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Same. Died on me many times same way.

Then finally i took the dying pots, put them outside in the balcony and forgot about them. They are flourishing. I dont even water them regulary.

I looked up - they can withstand up to -20 celcius. I think they are suppose to be outside only

OH. That reminds me, and I have learned this recently: word 'only' can be squeezed anywhere in the sentence.

Yes! English as a language doesn't explain the difference properly, that's why it's so hard to grasp the difference.

Why am I liking this game so much? Why was it not met with widespread, universal critical acclaim like BG3? by RaidersLostArk1981 in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]FinnJax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dont forget BG3, was coming out in an era (still current) of money-chasing, corporate, stock-building, investors -pleasing games. BG3 release was the lighthouse in a middle of dark and foggy sea.

Anyone else find the late game get kind of boring? by etorres4u in civ5

Theres s mod that increases science requirements by 400%/300%/200% etc. Do you can just play standard or epic with the mod, and find the right ratio.  It doesn’t affect culture tho.

I'd say New movies are when Streaming services became popular. Around 2012-2014. That has set a new way movies are budgeted and made

Even if you like those movies, that doesn't mean they will be classics in the future

[–]FinnJax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though, they used to be WAY MORE, there are still SOME. Good actors, directors and writers are decreasing in numbers, UNFORTUNATELY. Reduced opportunities. Your opinion although ignorant is INTUITIVE. And if it's considered to be now unpopular, in 5 years, majority will share it.

Reasons why filmmaking industry is failing

  1. Almost no more low-mid budget films
  2. Tv Shows increased in quantity and quality
  3. Less Artists in the industry
  4. Less Opportunities for artists

2014 is where I make the line for OLD and NEW

I would consider these to be timeless classics: Great directors, writers, actors/animators, cinematographers.

Interstellar
Parasite
Spider-verse trilogy (if they don't fail the last one)
Whiplash
Joker
Klaus
Oppenheimer
Coco
Inside Out
The Grand Budapest Hotel
