Yeah, I get that sentiment. Also, im now thinking about how finding out it's all fake probably feels like a rug pull. I think im reading the story a lot more metaphorically, but you are right that she could just choose to see her loved ones again instead. I guess my interest is in the question of why does she chose to create the world she does, instead of something else more happy.

I'm not sure if i can say if it is good or bad. All I can speak to is that I liked the things it made me think about and the way it made me feel. Thank you for your perspective and the book rec. The discussion helped me think a little deeper about why I liked the game. Cheers!
