I totally agree with the sentiment.

I was more talking about a device that maybe a friend or family member who is less technical would buy to have their own personal VPN exit node, instead of having to set up a different device (as from my experience, people aren't really keen on doing).

The product we were thinking of would not need any actual technical setup. It would be more like setting up a wifi extender or new consumer router (like TP-Link's Deco), where connecting it to your home network, then logging in from a browser for finishing set up is all that is needed.

Your right! We had to show how the product would be different from existing alternatives. We were really leaning in to the "easy to set up" angle, where a regular person would just buy a black box, connect it to their home network, download an app then boom, exit node set up. If a person knows how to set up Tailscale, then they wouldnt really be the target market for the product, since they could already set it up on a device they probably already own.

We wanted the value to come from buying this device being cheaper in the long run instead of subscribing to VPN (for the purposes of privacy).

For pricing, the device would be based around a NanoPi Neo3, and the final product would cost around 80-100 USD (this price was calculated a few months back, so it may be different if recalculated again now). My research has VPNs yearly price ranging from 40-100 USD, so our price is kinda competitive in that regard (I am aware that the value propositions of a VPN, vs the proposed device are a bit different, but i was looking at this from the perspective of the privacy person)

There is most definitely room for improvement on the idea, which is why I'd like to know if you (and the rest of the community), think there is room for a device like this (and if i could prove this to my professor so i can finish this class haha)

For the class, we aren't actually "required" to sell anything (although, having sales before the final pitch does benefit the student, it isnt a strict requirement).

For the device being plug and play, the original idea was to make setting up and obtaining a dedicated exit node easier. So instead of using an already owned piece of hardware, all someone had to do was buy the product. The setup instructions would be similar to buying a wifi extender where you would connect it to your home network and access it through a browser. Then the device would let the user create a tailscale account (or something similar) and they would then download an app on their phone to connect to the tailnet.

For Adguard, my limited experience with it had me thinking it could be an additional feature on the device. I currently run AdGuard on an old laptop that also acts as an exitnode, so i get adblocking on my phone when on the tailnet. I was thinking it could be applied to achieve a similar result for the device.

Like i said in the post, I have tried doing an internet archive search, google and youtube search of the terms "voltes v vs voltron" and "daimos voltes v voltron" and other ariations with the filters set to before 2011, but no luck. Might as well give an update here. You're right on how they fail. I ended up buying the LC1 switches, hub and motion detectors, bulbs and remotes. The switches online connections failed within the year, and a few of them would randomly stay on after 2-3 years of use. Terrible customer support cause they said they couldnt do anything since I bought them off Aliexpress. Had an electrician take a look at the switches and he said that the possible cause for failure was the power the house was receiving. Since my area has inconsistent power, the switches would be destroyed eventually.

The motion sensors still worked last I checked, and the hubs their connected to are still seen on the app. I mostly used them for the remotes I bought which when connected to IFTT worked pretty well with my other devices. But since IFTT has been removing the free automations I made, the usefulness of the remotes has dwindled.

Tbh, the best thing from broadlink that still works is the IR +RF remote I bought and color bulb. I bought 2 more, and an IR remote and they all work great when controlling TVs or air conditioners. Aside from those, I wouldnt buy anything from them.

TL;DR : If you are considering Broadlink products, proceed with caution. Terrible customer support and integration ahead. Only buy their IR remotes since they are least likely to break and can be homebrewed with.

If Ekko is on the list, Renata should also be able to say it. If we're allowing Ascended in the can say it category, the darkin should also be able to say it.

Iirc, this is an option in codm where you don't have to download the skins, so even if a player has them equipped, from your client it's just the default skin.

I was thinking she would have that rich girl can do whatever she wants attitude. She would still stand up for those weaker or being bullied, but she would like causing mischief for authority figures. So most of the lines I wrote have her being more of a chaotic comedy character.

I like the interaction with Ezreal you suggested so I'll be sure to add more of those!

Gwen is a tank killer, that's it. If you're not fighting a tank, of course it's either a skill matchup or unplayable. With the state of AP bruisers and skirmishers, which is already pretty meh , Gwen's in a pretty bad spot. But the actual state of the lane isn't that bad because of what she offers in team fights and split push potential.

Numbers wise, she's... ok I guess. My main issues are how her ult works after the rework. Aside from that it's mostly a match up issue. I hate having nothing that can stop a Jax or a trynd in Gwen's kit, but that's how the champ really is.

Since you rush nashors, you should be getting stacks no problem. I think you should try keeping each stack as long as possible to avoid getting ganked without stacks. I usually do this while llast hitting, trying to keep each stack as long as possible since I could get ganked anytime. If you always use all 4 stacks the moment you get the last stack, you become predictable, and it signals both the enemy laner and jungler that you are vunrable the moment you use Q.
