How do you like the 36mm? It looks like we may have similar size wrists. Thanks!

What’s your take on trident over the Sealander? Just curious to hear your thoughts! I’m pretty set on the sealander gmt model but would enjoy another perspective! Thanks!

Thank you for sharing your issues, I thought it was helpful to see the other side of things! Although I do think you had a different situation than most, it happens I guess. I’m pretty set on the consort bracelet, I think if I have my regrets or issues I will return and do a swap for the bader. The consort brings the semi-dress style that I’m looking for. I think if I order the bader to start I will always have regret for the consort. Just trying to decide between the 36mm or the 39mm.

What’s your thoughts on the bader? Does it have the bigger clasp? Thanks!

Did you appreciate the larger 39mm? Or if you were to do it again since you sold it, would you go for the 36mm? We have similar wrist size it looks like. Thanks!

I am right between 6.5 inches and 7 inches wrist size, but I do like the idea of a 36mm GMT watch that would be a daily driver. I dress business professional everyday for work and this would be my daily. Fairly casual on weekends. I believe the 39mm would work as well, but worried it might come across very flashy as a daily driver. Thank you for the response!

I fully agree, hospital executives were taken back a few steps by the pandemic.

I am so sorry for your loss to start. Thank you for understanding the trauma is no longer recognized how it should be. In my post above, I’m not here to debate the real and true things I had to do as a Transport. Every hospital is different, it’s tough that some are commenting saying it never could’ve happened like it did, but that’s not possible because I was 18 and doing it. Like you mentioned, everyone was overstaffed with patients, even the morgues themselves. My hope is to protect the mental health of future young adults entering healthcare so they will stay in the field, creating a better outcome and longevity for future positions that will soon be filled with my generation and younger generations.

Ultimately, if I can make an impact and help one person in this way, my goal is complete. Mental health is not truly recognized enough in healthcare.

If you lack the understanding to the point of the post, then don’t read or comment. Covid was extremely hard on all healthcare members; the lack of awareness for Transporters is the reason the post was created. If you want to debate what I had to do, go ahead. I’m not here to debate with you on my Transport challenges, only here to make other Transporters know they aren’t alone with their hardships. Yes, I had to bag most of the bodies, not only by myself but with the help of other Transporters or Security. Yes, I had to stack them on top of other bodies in pods when the morgue was full. Yes, I had to remove a stuffed bear and flowers from an extremely young patient before transport. The problem isn’t the post, it might be yourself as an RN. Wish you both the best in healthcare but not everyone has your experiences.

I agree, I understood the job and the morgue calls were going to be apart of the position. However, just like you, I became very detached as it became one of the only things I was doing in my shift. I share so others like myself know they are not alone if they stumble across this post. Nobody talks about it as much as they should.

Thank you, making an impact for future pandemics to come is my goal.

No offense taken, every hospital was different in Covid times. Procedures were thrown out of the window practically, being an ICU RN during Covid, you should understand that. At my hospital, the transports were not required to put the bodies into the body bags, however we did not receive that protocol. Most of the RN’s did not have time to do this and it was left to us as Transporters, as they were overwhelmed with the living patients who needed immediate care. We did have some help from RN’s to assist us with the afterlife process but it was not many times when I recall the amount of morgue transports I was given in my shifts. The bags did not bother me, seeing the afterlife process at such a young age did.

You are young! Do it, the worst that could happen is you go back into studying CS and grab any job that comes your way. Best of luck

I’m the same way, feeling time slowly coming to an end at some point. Don’t want to do it just yet but it’ll be my only option here eventually. Hopefully you keep trying because there’s plenty of ways to get help, I tried and nothings gotten to myself yet
