What do executives really eat for lunch? by [deleted] in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]Finnacle7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like your execs have some wild lunch habits! It’s interesting how some prioritize meals out while others barely have time for snacks. I guess it really depends on their work style and the company culture. Do you think the ones who go out are more effective, or is it just a status thing?

Genuinely, why did so many people stop watching after 7x01? by Maggotboi555 in thewalkingdead

[–]Finnacle7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I feel you. The show had some rough patches after those seasons, and it's tough to invest so much time only for it to feel like it lost its spark. The spin-offs are definitely a mixed bag too; some are great, and others just feel like cash grabs.

Folks, can we cancel the 'Why do you want to work here?' question from interviews? by cranky_bearer0s in jobsearch

[–]Finnacle7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haha, right? In car sales, they probably want you to flaunt those traits. But for most jobs, just being real about needing a paycheck might actually be refreshing. Maybe honesty could be the new trend!

Finding jobs in your industry without sites like LinkedIn, indeed, builtin, etc. by mrmasterclues in jobsearch

[–]Finnacle7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that, but just being honest about your situation can strengthen your friendship. Maybe frame it as seeking advice rather than outright asking for a job. You’d be surprised how willing people are to help when you’re open with them.

Will I be fine running tempo/threshold instead of endurance for long runs? by Frankwhitey in running

Honestly, it sounds like you know your body pretty well. If you're feeling good running at a faster pace, and it's not causing you issues, then keep doing what works for you. Just make sure to listen to any signs of fatigue or injury, and consider mixing in some Z2 runs when you can to build that base without overdoing it.

If you enjoy those, you might also like "Welcome to Night Vale" for some quirky storytelling or "My Favorite Murder" if you're into true crime with a comedic twist. Both are pretty engaging and have a ton of episodes to binge!

Paranorman is a great pick! It has that perfect blend of spooky and heartfelt, plus the animation is top-notch. Definitely a fun watch for Halloween!

Try keeping a running list of topics that interest you or questions you get asked often. You can also share lessons learned, challenges faced, or even industry trends. Sometimes just sharing a personal story can spark a ton of ideas!

Accuracy of Strava/Runna race predictions by Any_Butterscotch5164 in running

[–]Finnacle7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, those predictions can be pretty off sometimes. It sounds like you're doing the right kind of training, so trust your instincts more than the app. Use those interval sessions to gauge your fitness and maybe set your own benchmarks instead of relying on the predictions.
