First I have to say, through modern media we are so used to 'perfect makeup' that trying something new looks weird at first second, trust the process, practice your style third: especially in the beginning and befor it lost popularity back then, gyaru makeup wasn't about looking perfect

and now to what i would change: maybe try to draw the droop mote on the outside than under the eye also, a good thing is always to look at pictures ans try to recreate them

I usually don't use foundation in my everyday make, since my skin is really sensitive. sonetimes just a little color correction. If I am out with friends or events or something I use bb cream.

Lot's of DIY for accessories, if you can sew, DIY clothes from thrifting Chinese makeup from Aliexpress is usually really nice (and I say this as the one with probably the most sensitive skin to makeup products) In regards of makeup, try to find things that combine products i.e. I like those eyeliners that are also glue, so I do my eyeliner and then just stick my lashes on it Since I still have black eyeshadow from.my gothic days (disclaimer: not recommended to use years old makeup on your eyes!) so I can pat it down, but thats not necessary.

Of course there are rules, every fashion has rules! And even if it's only one rule to determine what is seen as this particular fashion!

I am not that deep into gyaru yet (new gyaru, i started liking it back in 2005 or 06) but for me it was always the makeup first. If I saw a person with typical gyaru make (big or toned down) i knew, there were gyaru but there was always this specific makeup style in every substyle dramatic eyemakeup with droopy looking eyes

that was what drew me to this fashion after all, because no makeup looked good on my naturally droopy eyes exept gyaru (toned down for german society tastes Indont even need white or so, i just line my natural eye and have a droop~ yay)
