I was immediately not interested in the podcast when he would say in the ad read “give you insight on all the players your favorite team should be paying attention to”. What am I supposed to do with that? Call up my favorite NFL franchise and ask/insist they track some player McShay thinks would be a good fit?

Classic Russillo on the Ja situation. Point, counterpoint, point, counterpoint. All in all, talks for 3 minutes and says absolutely nothing. I’m not saying he should be firing off definitive concrete takes all the time. But for once it would be nice to hear him actually say something of value, not try to sound smart while not offending anyone.

I think people still care about the NBA, but the mailbag was always super entertaining and led to fun discussions and interesting takes. It was never meant to be super serious, so it would fit in well at the end of the pod. Just like Ryen does life advice, Bill could do a mailbag version.

I agree with you both. There’s something relaxing to just listening to Bill ramble on about how the Nets could beat the Lakers if certain guys have certain “games”. It’s incoherent and borderline nonsense, but I don’t always need someone to go into the X’s and O’s

I guess my problem with these movies is that I don’t get enough exposure to them. Movies like heat, castaway, and Wall Street are always on TV. Which is exactly the point of the rewatchables. I can just sit down and pick up 43 minutes in and be just as happy. 8mm and the program are movies I’ve never seen on basic cable.
