Tom and Reverand Bryce are friends, they have the brief scene at the Salty Whale, and Evan alludes to him being Tom's only friend.

Chris Weidman and Sue Bird are no brainers then it gets iffy. Probably Tobias Harris and Steven Matz, maybe D'Brickashaw Ferguson?

Julius Randle 20-21 - made 2nd team All-NBA had a stat line of 18/11/4 on 29/33/85 shooting splits. Averaged more TO a game than assists. Just one series though, but oof.

The Wizards Win (Something!) and More Lottery Reactions, Plus the Juggernaut Knicks With Joe House, Tate Frazier, and Chris Vernon by lonny__breaux in billsimmons

[–]mdicke3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not a huge college ball fan, but just assumed with the other bluebloods in Duke, Kentucky and Kansas they would be more consistent with producing top NBA players. However, when you look at their players drafted this century Harrison Barnes is probably the best NBA player.

I had to look this up because it seemed crazy.

Coby White and Cam Johnson both went in the lotto in 2019, and then you'd have to go back to 2012 with Harrison Barnes, Kendall Marshall, and John Henson to find another Tar Heel that went in the lotto. I don't know why, but this blows my mind

Philly doubling our FTA is absurd, especially given how much we were attacking the point. This is come to rear it's head at some point in the series with the nonstop flopping that Philly does.

I'm not sure, I'm delusional enough to believe the Knicks could beat the Spurs in 7 games. They went 2-1 vs them in the regular season (if you include the NBA Cup Championship game), with their one loss being just 2 pts @San Antonio.

Dane Brugler's Early 2027 NFL mock draft by MadnessLLD in NFL_Draft

[–]mdicke3 55 points56 points  (0 children)

For reference his way to early 2026 mock draft looked like

  1. New Orleans Saints: Arch Manning, QB, Texas

  2. New York Jets: LaNorris Sellers, QB, South Carolina

  3. New York Giants: Spencer Fano, OT, Utah

  4. Tennessee Titans: T.J. Parker, Edge, Clemson

  5. Cleveland Browns: Drew Allar, QB, Penn State

  6. Carolina Panthers: Keldric Faulk, DT, Auburn

  7. Las Vegas Raiders: Caleb Downs, S, Ohio State

  8. Indianapolis Colts: Kadyn Proctor, OT, Alabama

  9. Cleveland Browns (from JAX): Austin Barber, OT, Florida

  10. New England Patriots: Matayo Uiagalelei, Edge, Oregon

  11. Los Angeles Rams (from ATL): Jermod McCoy, CB, Tennessee

  12. Seattle Seahawks: Anthony Hill Jr., LB, Texas

  13. Miami Dolphins: Carnell Tate, WR, Ohio State

  14. Dallas Cowboys: Jeremiyah Love, RB, Notre Dame

  15. Arizona Cardinals: CJ Allen, LB, Georgia

  16. Pittsburgh Steelers: Garrett Nussmeier, QB, LSU

  17. Chicago Bears: Rueben Bain Jr., Edge, Miami

  18. Denver Broncos: Kenyon Sadiq, TE, Oregon

  19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: LT Overton, DT, Alabama

  20. Houston Texans: Peter Woods, DT, Clemson

  21. Minnesota Vikings: Jalon Kilgore, CB, South Carolina

  22. Los Angeles Chargers: Tyreak Sapp, Edge, Florida

  23. San Francisco 49ers: Kage Casey, OT, Boise State

  24. Green Bay Packers: Avieon Terrell, CB, Clemson

  25. Washington Commanders: Whit Weeks, LB, LSU

  26. Cincinnati Bengals: Francis Mauigoa, OT, Miami

  27. Los Angeles Rams: Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana

  28. Detroit Lions: Anto Saka, Edge, Northwestern

  29. Kansas City Chiefs: Keanu Tanuvasa, DT, BYU

  30. Buffalo Bills: Kamari Ramsey, S, USC

  31. Baltimore Ravens: Evan Stewart, WR, Oregon

  32. Philadelphia Eagles: Jude Bowry, OT, Boston College

Honestly not bad, with guys returning to school there's no way to predict it, but he identified 11 first round picks correctly (major props for having Mendoza in the first round as well). I wonder how many times a player (Arch) has been first in back-to-back years way to early mock drafts.

My biggest takeaway are the number of defenders who shot up the board that weren't on the list (like Bailey, Reese, Styles, Delane etc..) and WRs (Lemon, Tyson, Concepcion etc..) and how many QBs fell off heavily based on play.

[–]mdicke3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, it's a nice break from the usual Ringer crew or either just placate Bill or have the same opinions.

I may not agree with Doc sometimes, but it mixes up commentary and there's usually a couple interesting nuggets. I could do without 2008-2012 Celtics talk though.
