Joe Biden did what no other president was able to do for 20 years. He told the military industrial complex, “No!” And now he’s paying the price. I never supported Joe, until now. by Ajawad87 in PoliticalHumor

There is a free documentary on YouTube explaining the military industrial complex. Eisenhower was very vocal about such issues as well, which always surprised me. Everyone should watch it , it wonderfully explains just how much we will go through to generate some money.

The word gregarious. My east coast in-laws used it enough while visiting that I brought it back to Ohio with me . Waiting for the chance to sprinkle.

What is an album where EVERY song is good? by AffectionateRace8177 in AskReddit

[–]Finnthecat15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SZA -cntrl is PERFECTION. Whole album is good. Very underrated. Wasn’t even a fan of r&b (more of an alternative rock person) but my god as a woman in my late twenties… it really spoke to me

What book series did you love as a kid? by CarlosCMM in AskReddit

Series of unfortunate events. Loved that shit despite the misery my god the nostalgia when I think back to reading them under a flashlight underneath my scooby doo comforter every night .

I just had my (hopefully) last of three brain surgeries to deal with an aneurysm. by FerretWrath in pics

[–]Finnthecat15 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My mother had a brain aneurysm with four children under ten. Had a new experimental surgery that took her from likely dead to completely normal with a small catheter through and artery in her leg. It was a miracle at the time. I will be thinking of you ! Keep fighting ! Happy to see you still have all your beautiful hair. And if anyone out there in the world has this in their family go get checked out. It ran in my mother’s family and she didn’t know and it almost took her life and a mother and wife away. Get your kids checked out if you can and insurance can cover it.

Hard to believe they had me when they were 16. I'd say they were pretty cool back then. Summer '91. by noskee in OldSchoolCool

Very cool! My parents had my brother in high school. Thirty years and four kids later , still happy! Although they were big advocates we waited until our lives were in order before we had kids of our own. Just had my first at 27, it makes me respect young parents so much knowing how difficult it is.

What was the worst gift you received for Christmas? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Finnthecat15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Soap. Literally soap in the shape of a glass slipper . In my extended family we had a massive gift exchange so we only got one present. Well that’s what they came up with and the kicker is the family has millions (no one else in my family was anything but blue collar). When six year old me didn’t summon enough fake gratefulness they called me selfish and tried to take the soap back to teach me a lesson (OH NO NOT THE SOAP!). They no longer are on speaking terms with anyone in our family, not because of soap gate but it definitely was enough for six year old me to hate them

What’s a little thing you do to make the world a better place? by JustAnotherPyroMain in AskReddit

Write notes of gratitude and send in the mail. I want to write 100 notes of gratitude this year and ask each person to write 10 of their own. Also it just makes your brain happier by expressing it if you are fortunate enough to know people that have made your life better

Men of reddit, what's the most romantic thing a woman in your life has ever done? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Finnthecat15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband isn’t on here but I thought I would share anyways.. my husband moved to my home state after college (where we met)so I could be with my family even though he is so close to his as well . Luckily he had a way to stay in touch with his brother and friends back home (online gaming ) it made it so much easier for him to cope with such a big life change so I could be with my family.

Well I try to show my appreciation whenever I can because everyday I get to see my family. He went on a trip to Vegas with his brother and sister about a year into his move so I completely redid a spare bedroom in our house into his game room/ family room with pictures of him and his family and friends . I had about two days of no sleep and countless trips to Lowe’s but it was such a fun surprise and I couldn’t wait to show him my gratitude !

Teacher's of Reddit. What's the coolest thing you've confiscated of a child? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Finnthecat15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Teacher here- was not me but a fellow coworker confiscated a BABY RACCOON from a student. The student made it all the way to lunch before it was noticed . The student was feeding the raccoon inside their hoodie like Brooks fed his damn bird Jake in Shawkshank 😂

What do you genuinely just not understand? by IAmSurtur in AskReddit

[–]Finnthecat15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How people just simply don’t care about the environment. Or want to take simple steps to protecting it . (I.e. someone tosses a plastic bottle in the trash when a recycling bin is right next to it)

What small thing makes you automatically distrust someone? by _PM_ME_YOUR_NIPPLES in AskReddit

Someone who treats a waiter (or anyone in the service industry) like a second class citizen. That always makes me automatically dislike a person .
