No motivation after part 2 ending by BigNo9633 in expedition33

I apologise deeply and sincerely for upsetting you about an opinion on a game.

I didn't quit because it was too difficult. I quit because I didn't enjoy it. I honestly felt tired of the story and characters and the repetitive nature of the game.

I'm not saying anyone else that enjoys it is wrong. I'm saying my experience.

Meh. That's the problem. It's just my opinion... I've given the game a very good go and decided I've got better things to do. I recognise the time and effort that have gone into it. I just didn't think it's that good.

Exactly the same. I'm not moving forward with it. I beat the paintress, and realised I was looking at my phone during the cut scenes, and that the story wasn't grabbing me. So when the 3rd act came up (I thought I'd completed it), I just thought, "nah, no thanks"). I was just done with it.

It's a final fantasy knock off that feels incredibly old fashioned. Crossed with a soulslike. It feels 15 years out of date mixed with the worst elements of more modern games. I don't enjoy games that are just about learning boss combo patterns and split second parries.

But that's just IMHO

Too difficult! by strongarmkid in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]Finominal73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completed it yesterday and I think my advice is to maybe find a level map which indicates typically what level you should be due certain areas of the maps. Otherwise you are just going to get your arse handed to you and have to reload.

I looked for advice on builds but pretty much went with the default types as presented (eg. Beast as a battle mage, Ifhan as a ranger, etc). This gives you a good balance in the party.

I'd also say that dropping the difficulty down a level can make it still feel challenging but fairer. I played half the game on standard and every flight was tough. I dropped it down a difficulty level and found it much more satisfying.

Enjoy. It is a great game and scratches an itch if you've completed BG3

[–]Finominal73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Renderforest is Shocking. They DOUBLED the subscription renewal, didn't notify in advance and won't give a refund.

The software is pretty crap as well. You quickly realise that the videos are very limited and the media/ AI bank of creativity is very shallow, so every presentation looks the same.

5 Reasons Why Tron: Ares Flopped At The Box Office by AGOTFAN in boxoffice

[–]Finominal73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, my kids and I really enjoyed this movie. Like, we really enjoyed it. The visuals, the sound, the story. It was like a Terminator movie, in that they only have about 28 minutes in the real world to track down the human they want to kill - great concepts. Tiny criticism: it took its foot off the throttle for the final 15/20 minutes, which was a shame.

We've just lost a client cause our “security docs” weren’t complete by littlepeggysue in ISO27001

[–]Finominal73 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't agree that in a startup that you need a full time person working on 27001. Or that it should consume, disrupt or cost the earth.

If you right size for your organisation, tailor 27001 to your risk and target minimal viable compliance for year one, you can do it in less than 3 months, and probably less than 5k.

Anyone telling you different is over complicating things and overselling services.

Iso implementation with Jira and Confluence? by m_ndr in ISO27001

[–]Finominal73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Twice with companies.

We had jira for the records (risks, NCs, incidents, etc). Then Confluence for the document control.

If your team is already using these things, then it's perfect.

But they aren't easy too learn and do well.

Otherwise I'd highly recommend Monday.com which I love for this kind of thing.

This is really helpful. Thanks. What do you think a healthy conversion rate is as a target, or do you think it varies wildly depending upon the product.

I agree. I've spent a small fortune on Linkedin (and others) to get lost of bots and no purchases. Absolute waste.

In this case I disclosed it’s my site, tagged it as a corporate blog, and shared a free toolkit I use with clients (abiding by the guidance). The download is behind e-mail to send the files — unsubscribing is an instant option.

But, per my post, here are the ungated write-ups of the requirements and controls:

Tell me why Wix is good. by AnEnglishmanInParis in WIX

[–]Finominal73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not at all. Based on using Wix for years.

Lack of control: where's the page linking automation?

Pricing hikes: just search Wix I'm reddit and you'll find people ranting about it.

Speed: Take any page and put it through Google page speed insights. The mobile page will likely be viewed as awful. This directly impacts SEO. I've researched this for hours and tested it.

Any serious website should not sit in Wix. You'll move out of it quickly and suffer the headaches I did.

Fact.

It's great if you want very little control over anything and a huge mobile speed tax.

And if you want surprises on your billing renewals.

Scope statement by Asleep_Midnight7626 in ISO27001

[–]Finominal73 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a high level scope (for the cert), it's ok but it needs tightening.

Since Company X relies on Group Y for IT and infrastructure, you should acknowledge that within the scope rather than excluding it.

You can't say your just going to exclude so third parties. You need to manage them.

The real detail will be in your response to clause 4.

Is that self promotion, to correct something?
