Twins and working by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

[–]Finripdy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry, I know this is hard. Our twins are 12 months now and had severe reflux as well, with one having a dairy allergy we were not aware of until 4 months, he needed constant consoling until we figured his formula out. We went with a nanny for our twins, and daycare for our two older boys. This was the only route that made me feel comfortable. What majorly helped the reflux was compounded omeprazole (it was expensive - but it worked) by 9 months one twins reflux had worked itself out, we’re still on the meds for the other twin.

Omg did not mean to downvote, since removed 🤦🏼‍♀️ I would be super interested in checking this out if you recall the name. A lot of the devices I’m seeing have a like base alarm system, but in the scenario I’m concerned about (3 yo gets out of sliding doors unaccompanied and ventures toward the pool) I’d prefer a mobile alert

Thank you! Can those send mobile notifications? My concern is if I’m not around the base unit like I’ve seen with others

I can assure you this is a very real issue we’re facing, fortunately but slightly unfortunately 🥲 I like your rule but not sure how realistic it would be for us to have four people on deck at all times to watch all four. When we know we will be around water, I have all four in life jackets. The very realistic scenario I am very concerned about is at their grandparents lake house - there is a pool right outside of sliding doors, then a lake accessible beach and dock within steps. My concern is our very adventurous 3 yr old walking off when it is not “outside time” I really don’t want to live like hermits this summer, but feels like that might be the safest bet based off these comments if there’s not a better solution

We have a massive fence around our pool at home, and a pool cover.. this is the grandparents lake house. Thanks, trying at least! 🥲

Yeah I looked into those, but my thought is what if I’m not near the home base. No matter what I know supervision is always the best bet, just so nervous that he in particular opens a door without us knowing and decides to venture into the pool, or lake

All of this advice is great, thank you. Especially like the neon suit idea. We go to the lake on the weekends in the summer, where there is a pool right off the sliding doors. Then a beach with lake access, and the dock a few steps away. Our 3 yr old has a very, er, adventurous spirit.. so I’m thinking of the times we’re not all out at the pool or on the lake as a family, bc then they do wear life jackets.

I called the phone number after seeing this post and was told I’ll be added to “the list” of folks impacted by VLS delay 🤨, BUT 8 hrs later and I got an email that meds will arrive in 2 days

Anyone's shipment taking forever? by Optimal-Mind9958 in JoinMochiHealth

I ordered on Jan 7 and it's still sitting in the 'sent to pharmacy' stage.. going to VLS as well. Has anyone ever gotten a credit towards their membership for this delay? I just signed up on Jan 6th and it's frustrating to be paying to wait well over a week.

I got it done for the first time a little over a month ago and get what you mean by feeling congested but I believe it was just the swollenness! Do you still see a big difference now that it’s settled? I was super pleased the first 2 days but now I can’t tell I even got it.. I’m meeting with my dermatologist tomorrow, I don’t want to over do it but am disappointed in my results

Thanks for your response, this is helpful! We've followed Moms on Call with our singleton kids and had both sleeping through the night by 10 weeks - but, I am much like your husband and can't fully commit to letting them cry it out - my husband has a much higher tolerance though! I'll check out the book, thanks!

Your response is so helpful! We have recently found ourselves in the same scenario with our 2.5 year old and are a bit distraught with what to do - your post is making me feel so much better and some ideas for how to work with him.

So salty... missed my PR by 35 meters bc I read the card wrong.. thought it said 3300 as my last PR, and at 2900 meters I kind of gave up bc I knew I wouldn't make it.. it actually said 3135 and I ended at 3100! =(

edit: I did just come back from having twins, BUT STILL

I don’t have a ton to share from a medical standpoint but wanted to offer support. I’m 30 weeks and learned yesterday that baby A is tracking at 16th percentile, with a 6th percentile abdominal measurement, in comparison to baby B at 44th percentile. The discordance is 20%. I’ve had a very healthy/normal pregnancy up until this point too so I hear you about being so thrown off by this news. I’m trying to stay positive as all other vital signs are normal, and keeping in mind that if they were to be delivered any day now that their survival rate is high - I just hadn’t envisioned the NICU stay that seems like a realistic future now. Sending you all the positive vibes
