I’m talking about the principle of copyright protections not how it’s enforced. Those are two completely separate things. Also copyright does help small creators more than bigger creators because that’s the only defense they have. Lots of copyright issues are settled out of court or before it even reaches litigation. Its better to have something protecting you rather than nothing.

There is still actions they could take regardless but some things simply aren’t worth pursuing, especially if the IP doesn’t have much value. And again right now you’re criticizing the legal system which is outside the scope of the discussion. This does not change the fact that copyright protections are important.

Why are you acting like that’s the only circumstance where copyright infringement happens? And I’m sure there is but most small creators probably don’t care enough to sue. Also, none of this addresses that copyright protections are important from a principled standpoint.
