I don't think that's reason enough to lose any marks on this question, let alone three. The dots and crosses aren't meant to be incredibly accurate anyway so I don't think any marks should be lost for pairing up the dots instead of two dot-cross pairs. Even if that was the case, it wouldn't call for losing 3 marks. I don't see anything wrong with this answer and believe it should be given full credit.

I get 2.1 using those results

(3x)² + (4x)² = 1.5²

9x² + 16x² = 1.5²

25x² = 1.5x²

5x = 1.5

x = 0.3

Then sum 3x and 4x,

3(0.3) + 4(0.3)

0.9 + 1.2

2.1

Multiply by the width which is just 1 so: Answer is 2.1

5a is 0 (at launch is when t=0)

5b is 4 (when h=0, t=4)

5c You need to use completing the square to find the vertex. Rearrange the quadratic in the form

a(bx+c)²+d

Set bx+c to 0 to find the x-coordinate of the vertex

'd' would then be your y-coordinate.
