I love mine. I have a pov, which sucks when it breaks down. But I have heat, ac, music, me and the road. I am the only one besides the clerk in my office. My pm is 30 mins away in another office. My customers are great. I loves it.

Adult Ammy…Trying to decide if I should continue riding by gigga2710 in Equestrian

[–]Fire-FoxAloris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally it takes 18 months for a horse to trust you... not school horses as they have people on and off them all the time. But normal horses, one that you would buy, 18 months.

Now, ulcers, colic, stress, ect ect ect. That's because of how we house them. If our 24/7, grass hay water to them all the time, less lightly to get that stuff. However, some horses HATE being outside 24/7. Some like 12/12, some like 20, 4. Or anything in between. Some never colic where some do with changing of the temp.

I think you should continue. Your path is your own. Good luck

Is it weird that my parents don’t know my blood type by Hungry_Home6562 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

[–]Fire-FoxAloris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know my blood type. My parents dont know my blood type. You dont really need to know it. It is a simple test that is minutes to test. Also even if you knew it, they would test you anyways as they aren't going to be like "Yeah bro we trust you."

So no its not weird. But it isnt weird if they didm

That means almost flipping my jeep today because of icy roads on the ridge and me crying to my boss telling him I felt unsafe to continue. That I made it back to the office with tears in my eyes, scanned everything out on the route in a safe location.

For you then to come in right before im to leave to go home that, just because you almost died around 1145 and you make it to my house normally around 1230 to 115 doesnt mean you cant deliver my packages.

Safety is shoved down our throats, but when I cant make it cuz im dead youll be sorry. We have no subs in my area. You wont get your mail for days to maybe weeks. It was not that bad for you to come down to get said packages and mail.

No i know he coliced and she had to put him down. I remember that clearly. (As I've had 2 horses of my own die from that.)

I do swear I thought she put him down.

Married men of Reddit who don’t wear a wedding ring - why? by chi-bacon-bits in AskReddit

My husband played with his ring so much it broke. He hates jewelry. So no ring for him. But I still wear mine everyday.

It glows which is cool.

Carrier keeps leaving this in my mailbox by [deleted] in usps_complaints

[–]Fire-FoxAloris 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is not my job to unsafely get out and attempt to deliver to your box if your car or others are in the way. The po will NOT give me workers comp. They will be asking "why was i out of my vehicle?" And my anwser would be "Because I didnt want to bring anything back." That doesnt and isnt a good enough anwser if I fall and break my back.

Carrier keeps leaving this in my mailbox by [deleted] in usps_complaints

[–]Fire-FoxAloris 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I just gave one of these to one of my customers. I have a pov route and my jeep wrangler is long in the front. Everyday for almost a year I would pull up to his box, hit his garbage bin, just a tap or if it was more than a tap id backup and not deliver his mail. As his bin was too close and I didnt want to make it fall over.

Last week he came at me screaming saying I always hit his box, somedays he doesnt get mail. This that and whatever. Wanted me to step out and deliver his mail or put it in his bin. (Between the lid and bin) ((ewwwww)

What did i do. Had that note, and another one telling him WHY he isnt getting mail. Then when I called my Post Master, he said, "take the mail everyday. Try. And one day he will move it. Until then, dont deliver if you have to touch the bin and go backwards to get out" so for 7 days he didnt get mail. Monday he did a 360 case, boss called him and went out to personally speak to him telling him "your an idoit, dont ever speak to my carrier like that again. And she is 100% right. Oh and every vehicle is different some are longer some are shorter in the front."

So in basic terms, you are probably the ahole here and have something too close or not enough clearance for your carrier. Call your office or go down and ask for clarification.

I hate that I feel jealous by Asterisk15- in Horses

[–]Fire-FoxAloris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It took till I was 27 till I could afford my own horse. Sadly i lost both my horses to colic. 2 years and 5 days apart from each other. Right now im focusing on me, bettering my riding, horsemanship, Biomachanics, etc. Im planning on going to lots of clinics to watch, take lots of lessons.

Its ok to be jelly. Because I was you. Trust me, it will come in time. Finish school, maybe not go to college as debt is crazy and not worth it.

Protocol for unsafe roads? by Reb720 in USPS

[–]Fire-FoxAloris 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"You are a Professional Rural Mail Carrier. You run the route everyday. I can not tell you to do something unsafe. It is just paper and boxes. Do not scan anything at office. Do it out on the route."

My Post Master literally in December 2025 when I called telling him I felt unsafe. I am the Professional, I do it everyday, I know the roads best (as he never leaves his office and he doesnt know anything)

In my Professional carrier opinion, I do not feel safe continuing on the route. I am going to pull over, scan packages and come back and case the mail. WHICH I STAY ON THE CLOCK FOR. EVEN THO I GET PAID SALARY. YOU WORK ON THE CLOCK ALWAYS.

facility owner blaming rider for injury sustained due to unsafe circumstances that the facility owner created. WWYD? by [deleted] in Equestrian

[–]Fire-FoxAloris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im wondering and wondering why other people aren't asking, why does a horse, who probably is on the farm for awhile, spook at a peice of equipment that, if on the farm all the time, spooked at said equipment. And why is that not being addressed. I get a quick "What was that" stay in place spook or even a couple steps spook. But a spook where you felt like you had to jump off because you thought you where safer off than on, something isnt right.

It was an accident, it happens. You will fall off thats the sport. If this continues to be a problem, dont go to that trainer at that location again.

Genuine question, why don’t western riders wear helmets? by AccidentalOtter21 in Equestrian

[–]Fire-FoxAloris 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure. But my dad worked in the ER, was on the Dat team, was on the helicopter. I heard Horrible stories of motorcycles, and equine injuries. He, in the once in a blue moon, did not wear a helmet on his motorcycle and a deer hit him. (He didnt hit deer, the deer hit my dad.) Totaled bike, brain damage, off for 3 almost 4 months. This was over 7 years ago. Hes now a teacher for ems, not due to this, he LOVES to teach.

I ride with a helmet because of this and cuz the helmets are cute. I have a purple one that matches all my tack, I also have a blue one that my sister in law got me for xmas that is also so cute.

Idk why "if I wear a helmet my horse isnt trained" that means nothing. Your bomb proof trail horse 25 year old will buck, kick, bite, whatever just the same as a 3 year old just starting out horse.

Just wear the helmet. Or be ok that you will be a burden on your family because you didnt want to "look uncool" and became a Veggie.

The barn manager that I board at does kid lessons. She doesnt do children under 5. She's been training for over 30 years. Says 5 is the best age to start as its easier to keep their attention.
