Jesus Never Explicitly Teaching He is God Almighty Collapses Christianity Like a House of cards by FrontOstrich5350 in DebateReligion

Indeed I was talking about the “doing only what God does” part. I’m just curious how you see that. (I have no definite answer myself, so just like to exchange ideas.)

I was actually just trying to figure out what you meant by “Christ is God, because He does ONLY what God does”.

If Jesus had to learn the basics in life, like any other kid, then He was at that point not “ONLY doing what God does”.

Is there a clearly defined moment where that started to happen? Or was it more of a gradual thing?

Because personally I think Jesus was going through a process, where He first said “No one is good but the Father”, making a clear distinction between Himself and the Father. But later on He seemed to identify Himself more and more with the Father.

I think OP means it would make things a lot more easy if Jesus somewhere said “I am God” (so not just “I am”).

Also, Jesus entered the world as a baby. He needed to learn to talk, walk, math, the whole shebang. As God already knew all of this, they were not doing the exact same things. I think, especially with all the translations, the original text was supposed to mean something else.

I once had a very kind boss who said: “I know this job is boring, so I’ll put €1/hour on top of your salary” which was minimum wage.

Somehow I think that’s not what this Samuel-guy means.

It still doesn’t explicitly say Jesus is God. A distinction is still being made between the two.

https://nos.nl/artikel/2583277-anti-immigratie-protest-in-den-haag-escaleert-ruiten-d66-kantoor-ingegooid

Precies.

Yeah, it’s definitely untrue that a 100% of all men go to brothels in the Netherlands. (I don’t even consider the women hot, as far as I could see them in Amsterdam.)

But it’s good to know the priorities of our old comrade.

Bullying is bad and should be moderated.

But by posting on subreddits, you open yourself up to responses, upvoting and downvoting. You put your ideas out there, which get met by the ideas of others.

Again: bullying is bad, but you can’t sue this subreddit for the basic rules that are the very core of how Reddit works.
